We have secured TWO dates for the March!

July 12th on the West side of Capitol Hill, and August 2nd on the NW side of the Washington Monument.

After many phone conferences, meetings, emails, and the like, we finally secured two dates and two venues. Because this is a grassroots effort, we really need your input as to what date we should pick as the final one. Please go to www.revolutionmarch.com and vote, and by all means, post a thread or comment on our forums if you'd like to discuss it further. We can now see why HQ relinquished this effort to the grassroots, it is a very time consuming effort - - and we have only just begun!

We are working on putting a phone conference together with Ron Paul's scheduler to find out if he is available on these dates.

This was an ordeal, but we are closer now than ever. Because everything has been hinging on a date, we will need for everyone to cast their vote ASAP! as the poll will not be open for long and we need to get moving on renting a stage, lining up our speakers and bands, fundraising, promoting, etc., etc.....

So, spread the word! Get your vote and your comments in! If you can help with anything, please volunteer.

Let's get our date finalized and let's rock and roll!!!!

The problem with July 12th is that it is during "Freedomfest" in Vegas. Ron Paul is scheduled to speak... but I'm not sure which day.

It seems to me that the date should be the one Ron Paul can make. Now that we have two choices... let him pick which he prefers.

I'm glad we've secured a couple dates for the march now, regardless if they're convenient for people. Not to sound like a jerk, but if what this march means to you is important, I think skipping out on some work / school for a couple days shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry but we tried EVERYTHING! I even called Amnesty International (who is scheduled that day) and asked them for the day. I mean we have tried it all! Besides, we can't wait any longer, we need to start planning this event and we can't do it without a date.

People jumped the gun. It was a mistake to suggest a date without a permit. I think that is why HQ gave this up. Those who made their plans for June and can't get out of it should contact me.

Gotta check my schedule before I vote, but I'm *very* excited. There's no more important scheduling priority to me than this March, anyway.

Try not to get discouraged with "inconvenience" everyone! The March is a GO FOR SURE . . . this is an awesome thing! Rearrange your schedules and get ready to make (PEACEFUL!) history!

No its not. This March was planned way too late and people jumped the gun thinking they could have they date they want. Stop complaining Deb and other have busted their asses to get as far as they have gotten so maybe you should show the same amount of dedication as she has and get ready.

Obviously the better date of the two is July 12. Congress should still be in session (although the event is on a weekend). It's closer to the June 21 date originally projected, so it will be relatively easier to adjust to. It will be hot, but it's still early summer. The date also gives almost two months space between the DC march and an expected Labor Day march in St Paul for the GOP convention. Paul should adjust his schedule to appear for the July date, so as to let the grassroots do this on the most optimal day for the event, given the two choices.
