Ok, so this isn't getting the press it deserves, but i'd like to say that i'm extremely proud of all the delegates that stayed the course and deftly passed a wonderful anti-war resolution.

The passage of this resolution should make all Washington State Ron Paul supporters extremely proud  You delegates to State did an outstanding job working against a numerically strong yet mentally infantile group of neocons.

hell, this should make all of us proud

Wow. Just wow. This is the kind of thing that makes me proud to have switched from the big I to the big R!

Friends,

Counter to anything you'll hear from the media, the Washington State GOP convention was a great victory for the forces of freedom. Despite the opposition of the leadership, the imposition of unfair rules and abundant cheating and dirty tricks by the McCain campaign and party leadership, we elected 10% of the state?s delegation to national, made some great changes to the platform, and adopted a resolution renouncing all military actions not authorized by a formal declaration of war. Repeat: IT IS NOW THE OFFICIAL POSITION OF THE WASHINGTON STATE REPUBLICAN PARTY THAT ONLY MILITARY ACTIONS AUTHORIZED BY A FORMAL DECLARATION OF WAR ARE LEGITIMATE.

We had over 600 energized, intelligent and hard working delegates present at the convention. A special thanks to everyone who showed up and helped make this weekend something special. You know who you are.

Great job guys, your hard work definitely paid off. Seeing news stories like this makes me feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel...;)

Super News

:D WA still kickin butt and taking names

You guys did a tremendous job. Now will someone there step up to the plate and file a challenge for the establishment GOP breaking the rules and running rough shod over the duly elected delegates. They definitely broke rule # 15. Let the RNC know of their shenanigans!

Wow. Just fantastic.

Washington and Idaho--areas very friendly to those of our ilk. Believe me, Northern Idaho/Spokane area are on my list of best places in America right now.

Big ups to Spokane. Thank the Spokane group, the Vancouver area, and all the CD organizers. I guess the delegates from my legislative district helped get that resolution passed by all walking out of the convention :)

i'm still a bit pissed that my district elected folks that would leave the convention when they should have elected me and some of my friends - we'd have stayed

All I can say is the folks who have been working on this tirelessly for months are now re energized due to the poor behavior of the GOP. Whether a challenge materializes, I've heard talk of it but we'll see.

Either way, Luke Esser and friends are in for a big surprise in the upcoming elections. ;)

Those of you involved in the reclaiming of the WA GOP, someone send me a PM, Ill be registering to vote there in August, and I want to get involved ASAP.

They didn't leave early, they walked out to try to get us to not debate the resolutions. Fortunately, there were enough McCain supporters that didn't listen to their leaders that it didn't work. Once the quorum was established, they all came running back in. It was quite funny.
