I don't know if I believe Rove.
But what is really sad is that both Boehner and Cantor said that the reason they voted against the bailout was because of Pelosi's speech!!!
If that's true, then it is is very disappointing. It means that
1) They were planning to vote Yes before the speech, against the will of their constituents
2) But they voted No, only as a political gimmick, not because they are opposed to the idea of a bailout
My hope is that some of these 133 Republicas voted No for the right reasons, but they are just taking advantage of the situation to blame Pelosi.
This also means that the 95 Democrats that voted No voted No because they really did not believe in the bailout.
There's still hope, but I have a feeling that if there's a second vote it will pass
