According to the State Board of Elections, the votes are not final until May 22.

As it stands today, it looks like the delegate allocation would be:
49 McCain
8 Huckabee
5 Paul
2 Alan Keyes
2 No Preference
3 RNC members

There may be some room to dispute the Alan Keyes delegates... Since Keyes got 2.63% of the preference primary, he would get arithmatically 1.73 delegates. His attempt to win the Constitution party's nomination could make him ineligible. Maybe he'd just get 1, or none?

The state party will probably try and stuff 2 McCain delegates into the unbound "No Preference" spots. Perhaps this can be challenged at convention, and we can take nominations from the floor for those. I suspect we'd be outvoted anyway, but it could be interesting to give it a try and see how well we CAN do.

Since Huckabee endorsed McCain, I would presume that they have no objection to alloting him his 8. Maybe Huckabee will acquiesce to those going to McCain? Will be interesting to see what happens here. Huckabee will *be* at the convention, and I would presume have a say in who these are.

I'm sure the 3 RNC members are a lost cause, and will be hand-picked to be "unity" delegates.

Yeah, now that Huck is begging to be VP I'd say you're right. I take it the "No Preference" Delegates up for grabs?

Right now I would not even assume that the additional 4 "Paul" delegates won't "change their minds" before arriving in Minnesota. If the people nominated at our state convention are all party insiders and donors, well... then... you know.
