Just a suggestion...

If you are creating and posting videos to YouTube you should consider
posting them on Google Video as well. They get a ton of traffic and run
parallel to you tube. Google Video seems to handle larger files better too.

Because they are two totally separate systems.

Google video is a larger format as well. The goal is to spread out
far and wide. Some people also prefer google video over you tube.

Both systems have loyal users and ranking options even though they
feed into each other.

You tube is also getting sued. It would not be surprising if videos end
up stripped from You Tube related to legal issues.

It takes what... a few seconds to post a video up on google video too?

There are scripts and mods that people are using to handle google video
files as well as you tube files. Why limit anyone.

The mods and scripts I was referring to are for blogs like wordpress and for
ripping videos. Firefox has an extension etc.

I'm not a video guy so I don;t know the exact technical stuff for it, but if you
go to some of the mod and script sites you will see various utilities for
posting video. I know the newer versions of wordpress can handle video
code, but there are plenty of people who are using older versions with
mods to handle their videos.

Can anyone recommend a good Video desktop editor software ? Something easy to use.

Is there anything like you just put in a URL into it, to download videos from the web it to your desktop?

Thanks for any help!

Just uploaded my vids to googlevideo, you can download them directly off that site. I'll post the link when they are done processing. Feel free to post them anywhere you want. Spread some liberty all over the internet.

CurtisLow,

There is an extension for firefox called "Video Downloader" that will let you
download videos from youtube and google video. There are a couple of
different ways to do it.

Go to the mozilla site and dig around a bit:

you can also go here http://video.qooqle.jp/dl/ to get the dowload url for google and youtube video's

They are not tagged when the are dowloaded, so you have to rename them with .flv at the end. Then you have to convert it to and avi or whatever you use. There's probably an easier way, Thats just how I've always done it.

Just in case Google video and YouTube start deleting Ron Paul content, which has been happening to some of Aaron Russo's and Alex Jones content, here's another site for hosting video:

just some feedback

I prefer google video cause I can usually download those and put them on a disk and share them with my friends. youtube is not as friendly for doing that with the proprietary format.
