OK guys,

As part of the overall strategy for a big win on Super Tuesday, we need your help.

Just to let you know, I predicted 2nd in NV and 1st in LA. Not to self aggrandize (I also picked 3rd in SC) but to let you know that I have an inkling of what sort of strategy is playing out here. Now that we HAVE 2nd in NV and 1st (sort of) in LA, we need to seriously mobilize the grassroots "get the message out" force like it has never been trotted out yet. I know that the actual straw-vote for LA is not until 09 Feb, but we seriously kicked butt in yesterday's caucus gaining a great majority of precinct delegates to the state convention.

My prediction WAS, 5th in IA, 5th in NH, 4th in MI, 3rd in SC, 2nd in NV and 1st in LA; followed by stupor-Tuesday, with the most apparent momentum of anybody. 5, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The sheeple see this and feel compelled to select RP. Well, we actually GOT 5, 5, 4, 5, 2, 1. Not as pretty, but still useful.

So what we need, is to blast every corner of the globe with every effort we have within us, touting the silver in NV and the gold in LA. PUSH that into every nook and cranny of the nation. BLAST that with every e-mail to a MSM outlet, TV and papers alike.

Please understand where I am coming from. When canvassing SC, no less than 30% of everyone I spoke to said that they loved RP and his message and his platform, and they would vote for him "if only he could win." So NOW, all we have to do is prove he can win. We do this by BLASTING the NV Silver and the LA Gold, into every eyeball and ear in America.

Do not underestimate the importance of this. While I was canvassing, that was the PRIMARY objection to RP I encountered in SC, and SC was his weakest state yet, percentage-wise. Kill that objection, and you open up 30% of the vote. Open up 30% of the vote by Super Tuesday, and we win. Kapishe?

I'm already PC for Youngsville West, tho our primaries are not until May. It may yet come down to the late primaries, who knows? I am heading to either GA or FL to help there from 25 Jan till the primary, and thenat least one more state before returning to NC to start canvassing my precinct.

TRUST ME, the primary objection we need to kill (I can tell you this from experience with one heluvalot of canvassing) is the "he can't win" objection. The people love his platform, but vote elsewhere because "he can't win."

The folks here can KILL that objection simply by putting stupid amounts of effort into publicising the NV silver and the LA gold. Kill that objection, and the canvassers can turn people so easy you wouldn't believe it. I KNOW!

Hey, we are from the same state :p

HAHAhaha, yep! Only because I am self-employed with a (currently) very thin client base, I can trot off to several states and help canvass and GOTV, like I did for SC.

I am back in NC until the 24th (got back yesterday) to do one job that came in while I was in SC, then off to GA or FL (dunno which yet). In all probability (90%) it will be GA -- they need the most help.

what should I do?

Tell people. Write e-mails to MSM programs that publish viewer's e-mails, like Cafferty on CNN. Call in to C-Span. Makelots and lots of noise. Hold a big sign on your busiest highway saying, "Ron Paul won Lousiania, and placed 2nd in Nevada -- why have you not been told?"

Make a bloody nuisance of yourself on the television and radio programs that are in a position to tell folks about this.

I agree there needs to be a bit more focus on the media black out, then state Paul's position on the issues with a disclaimer...Why haven't you been told?

Well, in all sincerity, the canvassers are doing a GREAT job, or they did in SC where I was helping. The primary objection was (and I kid you not, better than 30% of the folks I came face to face with said this) "I love what Ron Paul says, and everything he stands for, and I would vote for him if only he could win."

If we can unlock THAT single objection, I sincerely believe that we would unlock 30% of the vote. That is enough to win big on Super Tuesday. Super Tuesday is right around the corner, no?

Let the canvassers get his platform out now -- we are so close to 05 Feb that if RPF tried platforming it may convolute things. For now, I am saying, simply focus on pushing the NV silver and the LA gold, so that the canvassers will not run into that objection when going door to door.

The canvassers and the lit droppers are very very strong on getting the platform out. Kill the primary objection they run into, by pushing RP's wins into the public consciousness.

Other Long-Shot Wins?

What we need to thwart this "he can't win" idea is hard data on past presidential candidates. Reagan, for example, was in last place for a long time and finally won. What other presidents of Rep. Nominees had this situation? This is something people can understand. Remember how stoked those who supported Reagan all the way through felt when they picked the long shot and won!

Exactly.

Well, sadly, Americans have by and large gotten stupider every year. Start talking facts & figures, and their eyes glaze over and they start thinking about the last episode of "American Idol" until the annoying man at the door stops buzzing incoherently.

one more bump before bed. I have to be awake to receive my laptop motherboard in the AM so I can stop doing all my RPF work on my iPhone...
