I wish he would back away from Israel. No good will come from supporting the Zionists. Not all Jews are Zionists.

I could live with that. I don't see it as a pressing issue, I'm for freedom of speech and expression, but if that one particular act became illegal I don't see it as the end of the world.

It's not speech. It is an act (DEED) that could be violating zonig codes, reckless endangerment, civil disturbance, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, etc.
People get arrested for disorderly conduct, just yelling. That is speech. Lighting a flame to a flag isn't. Especially if fires are not allowed in that area.

Well unless someone who doesn't like you leaves a charred flag on your lawn. That would suck to go to jail for a year for that. Anyway if it were limited to flag burning that might not be the end of the world, but it sure seems to be a really big camel's nose under the tent. The next obvious step would be making it illegal to criticize the president. After all the president represents the country just like the flag does.
