Trump Got Hammered...Right?

The pundits claim that Trump was slaughtered at the debate last night by a Kamala Harris who greatly defied expectations. Is it true? Also today...the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 - is it still important?

The Kamala people can be proud of the job she did rehearsing her lines. She came off as a polished politician that could sell the vision of hope, just like Obama did.

Trump came off as an unrehearsed candidate with his jump around style of speech that not particularly eloquent. He missed many opportunities as a result.

she -and her disgusting sycophants- are presently shitting on my home town. I've heard all I need to hear.

As Ron said, she surprised everyone with how much of a "slick liar" can she can be.

Do you get your talking points from anywhere other than the DNC?

Look, man or woman, someone's gotta do it. The locals here have apparently deferred, out of pity or otherwise.

He's a married man. You gotta move on. It just isn't healthy.

I don’t think he did well. He missed a number of opportunities to frankly, knock her out of the race. And fumbled the ball badly on health care. That would have been the perfect opportunity to mention that they might have heard that Kennedy was now part of the team and his focus will be on Making America Healthy Again. He could have talked about getting the chemicals out of our food, etc.

He also let her skate on a number of things, starting with the first question. She never answered how she explained how much worse the economy has gotten over the last 3.5 years. He could have just jabbed her with, well, are you going to answer?

Her goal was to get him on the defense and he took the bait every time.

She got visibly shaken when he talked about her father being a Marxist. If he could have done it again, I think she would have crumbled. She is just a circus act. Get her off her routine, and she’s out.

He didn’t do that though. She lied her butt off and the moderators didn’t call her on one. I also heard there was something weird with the lighting and how it was pointed at him, making him squint.

It could have gone much worse, but I don’t think he did well at all. I don’t think he lost support; just doubt that he won a lot more undecided votes. She didn’t either.

The winner of this debate was ABC.

Trump's only real error laid in his failure to keep asking pointed questions of Harris. Harris was dead meat at her own hands.

Let's recap just broadly.

Firstly the moderators sucked the big gay tuna. Their work was so artlessly transparent, I was torn between pitying them and wanting to be on their firing squads. If ABC has any epsilon of credibility before the "debate", they sure as hell had none of it left at the end. They tossed creampuffs at Harris and failed to follow up in the wake of her utter bullshit responses and outright failures to answer what had been asked. They took a markedly different tone and approach with Trump, their hostility thinly masked.

Harris spoke in nothing but vagaries clearly intended to have an emotional effect.

Trump's other mistake was rising to Harris' bait. Bad move, but now water under the bridge.

Trump's coup de grace was when he finally asked the question of where in hell she's been for the last 3.5 years and all she could so was make her weak attempts at looking back at Trump with the brand of smug expression that leaves decent people wanting to slap the taste out of someone's mouth.

Oh, and Trump got in the tit-for-tat mode, which was yet another error. He could have slaughtered her but failed, which was more than a little disappointing. OTOH, Harris slaughtered herself with her inane, canned responses that talked a lot but said absolutely nothing, other than the subtext: "I am an imbecile ill equipped to shine your shoes, much less be POTUS".

The sad bit here is that that bitch is almost guaRONteed to be installed regardless of the actual vote. I hope I'm wrong on that point, but I see no real reason to think otherwise. After all, Trump has been very plain in expressing his intention to imprison a whole shit-ton of those people from both sides of the aisle. Unless Trump is in on a big sucker play with these jokers and they all know the plan, I see no incentive for the left other than they must defeat Trump at all costs, lest they end up on a gallows on Gitmo, which is where they belong. How could they take the chance on gambling that Trump is just talking big? I don't think I would. And so the likelihood if them not cheating is, IMO, vanishingly small... unless the polling places are hawked 24/7, in which case who can say what might be the result. OTOH, the voting machines remain a threat to election security.

We're in deep and dangerous waters. If the Ds win, Harris as mouthpiece is going to systematically dismantle the remains of this Republic. If we act against this, it may be civil war. If we don't, the bitch gets a free hand.

Dangerous waters, indeed.

ETA: Trump's performance leaves me once again wondering who he really is. It was clear he had no plan by which to proceed, especially knowing that the mods were certain to be helping Harris in every way. His failure to point out all of Harris' bullshit left me once again unsure of what it was I was witnessing. It becomes quite the stretch for me to trust him when in the wake of having destroyed Biden (with lots of help from Biden), he suddenly drops the ball with this nitwit cur. I grant that it was three v. one, but even though his final question to Harris left him victorious in terms of making valid points (Harris had not even a single one), the appearances were weak. I've said it before and I maintain that it holds: appearances count for a lot, if not everything.

This whole thing feels like a setup, and a really big one. I wish I could explain it away convincingly to myself, but I cannot. I want Trump to be what he advertises, imperfect as that might be, but I just cannot quite get there. At every opportunity he seems to miss the mark, even if only by a hair, but just as the sniper did the same, we see that the job to be accomplished remains incomplete.

Harris will likely become Prostitute in Chief and she and those with their fists up her bum will proceed in taking us apart such that it will boil down to fight or fold. Given our general performance during the covid scam, my hopes for an effective fight are just this side of zero.

Disgust doesn't cover it for me.

PS: What is meant by the question of whether 9/11 is still important? Three thousand people were murdered. There is no statute of limitations applicable.

I recently learned that my thought that nobody I knew was in the towers was wrong. I saw some documentary on the event and lo and behold there was Rich Eichen, one of my old associates, who'd survived the day. It was very strange seeing him like that. Now I wonder whether there was anyone else. I think the film was titled "Surviving 9/11" or something like that. Actually it may have been a series. Anyhow, it was strange in any event.

Debate rigged? Whistle Blower comes forward. Is it legit?
