If from what I have seen or should I say haven't seen today on the Old Media News stations, I think this section of the boards will get quite popular today. On CNN, they didn't state how much money he raised and had the title of their story read "Money For Nothing?" on their banner.

That's because as they see it, RP has a band of enthusiastic supporters that are willing to dip into their pockets, but that in reality their numbers make up a very small percentage of the electorate. It completely fits their definition of a fringe movement.

I just took a look at ABC News to see what they wrote up about yesterday and they did NOTHING. Not a single article about Ron Pauls haul yesterday.

It's not news to them. I think too many here were hoping for the media to bow down and worship the RP grassroots if we broke the record. As I said earlier to them its a small group of people raising a lot of money, and in the grand scheme of things not important.

Hmmm....well that's not what's on the front page now.

This article mentions that Ron Paul raised over 6 million and that that Romney's 6.7 million dollar haul included "pledges". Also no smartass title. :)

I find it interesting that in order to support that line- the one where they have their finger on the pulse of the elctorarte, but we're the fringe- it requires the "mainstream" of the electoate to be computer/internet illiterate, unmotivated enough to use yard signs and bumper stickers, unwilling to come out to support their candidates at straw polls and too broke to contribute any money to any of them.

Yet that's the baseline for their particular slant. We're smarter, motivated, have more disposable income and know how to use a keyboard.

Amazing.
