The headquarters can take care of their own advertising, let them fundraise. There is also no limit to how much a meetup group can raise on a single donation since we are not officially part of the campaign. I think Ron Paul wants us to do this.

You need to read the FEC guidlines. THis is not correct. Once an organized group raises $1000 they are required to report to the FEC.

You as an individual can spend as much as you want. But if you give it to the group, then the group must form a PAC, report its income and outgoing quarterly to the FEC and is limited to taking in 5000 per person.

If you spend directly and spend more than $200 , there is no limit but you still have to report your expenditures to the FEC.

Did you really believe you lived in a Free Country????

How, exactly, does the FEC intend to find out what we're spending privately?

If we created a PAC group and sent over 2300 dollars, yes that would be illegal and us sending it to the campaign shows intent. But if we created a meetup group and spent the money ourselves that isn't illegal.

Well if you publish it on the internet, they could find out that way. Or they could invade your home while your not there and snoop around using the sneak and peak warrants. Or if you rent a billboard, they could reasonably presume more than $200 was spent and give the owner of the billboard one of those NSA warrants where the guy receiving the warrant can't mention it to anyone including a Federal Judge.

Huh! did you think you lived in a Free Country????
