As this country moves closer and closer towards banning guns, it’s worth a look at how this has worked out in recent history.
Turkey outlawed guns in 1911. From 1915 to 1917 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
The Soviet Union banned firearms in 1929. By 1953 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952 20 million people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.
Germany outlawed guns in 1938. From 1939 to 1945 13 million people, mostly Jews, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977 one million people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala banned guns in 1964. By 1981, 100 thousand Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979 300 thousand Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In the 20th century, 56 million people were rounded up and murdered as a result of gun control.
Gun control takes the most efficient means of force out of the hands of the most ethical and responsible individuals giving a duopoly to politicians and criminals.
Childlike notions of eliminating guns and violence must be put down. One must study history to understand the degree of killing that is possible in a society. Understand that the purpose of gun control is not to protect civil society, but to leave it for prey.
