Well the guy sure speaks the truth. Problem is the rant would make neo-cons dance in the streets, using it as justifying their interventionisms. It doesn't, really, but they would sure take it as so. Political interventionism in peoples lives, creates the fearful politically correct environment that allows the seeds of what this guy is talking about to develop. And kudos to his recognition that without oil, the entire middle east would lack the resources of even a basic agrarian society.
