Maybe its just me. Maybe I'm delusional. Maybe my imagination is running out of toilet paper too.

I have this nagging feeling that we just came out of the roaring 20's and were entering into economic disaster like 1930's and that in some cruel universal dynamic history is repeating itself only for this time and age.

Am I grasping at reference points to define relevance to today's events?

History often rhymes but it never repeats itself.

I think we just came out the 60s and are heading into the 70s, except there's no Volcker to save the day, and we'll end up in 1923 (Berlin).

So, a crisis of a different flavor, but similar severity to the 30s.
