My friend is a Matrix freak, he always pointed out biblical symbolism in the movies and there was a deeper story to the Matrix and how it portrayed the bible works.
I'm sorry I don't know any particulars on what he meant because it was a while ago when he explained this to me. Also the Animatrix explains more too.
There are also many references to duality and connected pairs, which the illuminati love... Notice that Smith kills/defeats Neo twice (in the end of Part 1 [The Matrix] and in end of Part 3 [Revolutions]) and after each time this happens Neo then destroys Smith. Notice that the Oracle says to Neo, when he visits her in her kitchen, in part 3 [Revolutions] 'Everything that has a beginning, has an end'. The statement Everything that has a beginning, has an end' is again said to Neo at the end of the film by the Oracle cloned/copied into smith. You see. the same statement is said twice to Neo. They make a pair and they BALANCE THE EQUATION OF THE ARCHITECT.
It also had a reference to the death of Christianity:
In the Matrix films Trinity [Neos girlfriend] dies.
The doctrine of Trinity is central to the christian faith (Protestants and Chatholics alike). The death of Trinity in the Matrix films signifies the end of trinitarian christianity. Check out Part 2 [Reloaded]. Pay attention to the dialog between Neo and the Oracle when they both sitting on the park bench AND TALKING ABOUT TRINITY AND THE DECISION THAT SHE DIES.
Did you know that the world wide release date of The Matrix Revolutions (Part 3) was 5th of November 2003.
BTW, it was even more evident in V for Vendetta...
I want you to pay careful attention to connected scenes in the film V for Vendetta:
1. The egg on toast scenes [0:28:55 and 0:58:02]. (the numbers in brackets [] is the hour:min:secs of where to view these scenes on the DVD)
2. The hiding under the bed scenes [0:40:28 and 1:05:40]
3. The shooting of the chancellor scenes [1:02:23 and 1:47:38]
4. The scenes where Dr. Diana receives 2 red scarlet carsens [0:50:27 and 0:54:10]
I dont want you pause the DVD and strain your eye at the TV monitor looking for any kind of subversive/subliminal message. No. No. Nothing like that. You must examine the sequence of these scenes. You are searching for similarities and
synchronicities.
In short what you will see is that the watchowski brothers have scripted a kind of
duality into their movie screenplay. THINGS HAPPEN TWICE. EVENTS OCCUR IN PAIRS.
Also pay attention to the dialog on the film, especially to what V says about the
universe.
1. In one scene V says to Diana: 'There are no coincidences..., only the illusion of
coincidence....'
2. In another scene Inspector finch tells of his trip to larkhill. He says 'I suddenly had this feeling that everything is connected.'[various scenes are shown including guy fawkes on the night of 5 nov 1605.] 'Its like i could see the whole thing. One long chain of events that stretched all the way back to before larkhill. I felt like I could see everything that had happened' [scenes of bailey blowing up and guy fawkes getting hanged in the 17th century] 'and everthing that was going to
happen. it was like a pefect pattern, laid out right in front of me and I realised
that we were all part of it and all trapped by it.'
The assistant asks: 'so do you know what is going to happen'. Finch responds: 'No. It was a feeling.'
3. In another scene V says to Evey when they are in Valerie's memorial chamber: 'Its a basic principal of the universe that every action will create an equal and
opposiing reaction.'
Evey then asks : 'is that how you see it? like an equation?'
The word equation is an important clue here.
I think the Marxist-Hegelian undertones were more blatant and clear. I mean come on, machines leaching off of and using humans as batteries.
The Wachowski brothers are not Christians. One of them is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America party, the other a writer who outlined a philosophy of cultural terrorism.
I would actually add "Amazing Grace" to a list of liberty movie recommendations. I just watched that again and it is downright erie in the light of RP's campaign.
