Don't know if this has been posted or not, but here it is, for what it's worth. Perhaps her memory isn't failing as badly everyone else's seems to be....

Fast forward....

Jean McIver
jean@ronpaul2008.com
Texas Field Coordinator

Paul is getting ready to come on CNN with Blitzer to talk about the newsletters.

I'm a fan of Jean's. I met her when I worked at the Congressional office. She even hosted me at her house once (so did Dondero for full disclosure)--Dr. Paul isn't the first one to jump at the idea of us staying at hotels. ;)

While I've known her for ten years, I don't know her especially well, but I will say she's always been extremely polite and hospitable and very competent. It would VERY MUCH surprise me that she could have authored any of the provocative bits. Her title here suggests she would NOT have had a writing/editing role. I've never heard her name rumored as one of the possible authors.

Are you saying that Jean McIver, RP's Texas Field Coordinator said this? "Is this "campaign," all some big white supremacist hoax or what? Dr. Paul owes us answers when we've been busting our butts and emptying our wallets for him for months!"

Or was that said by MCockerill08? I'm confused about what's being said in this thread. Can someone shed light on this? Thanks!

It was said by me. (the complaint about the campaign seeming like a white supremacist hoax) Jean's name was at the bottom of the newsletter.

Also- my comment was tongue in cheek; a manifestation of my frusturation. I'm committed to Ron Paul.

Courtney's trying to imply that the subscription manager for the newsletters in 1990, who's a RP coordinator in Texas now, had something to do with the content of the letters.

Subscription manager = collect money, keep track of subscribers, lick stamps for envelopes..

Keep trying Courtney, I'm sure you'll find more angles out there if you look hard enough.

I looked through all of your previous posts. There isn't one where you are supporting Ron Paul without a "but". You continually sow seeds of doubt, make inflammatory statements, continually conflate RP supporters with racists and so on. You sprinkle your posts with all the buzzwords.

You keep bitching about spending your 2300 foolishy. You started out negative. I doubt you've donated 10 bucks and I doubt you've done anything to support Ron Paul.

Whatever your motives are, you've absolutely proved your disingeniousness today beyond all doubt.

Obama 08 indeed.

Well, Billy Budd, I finally signed up to post here not to necessarily brag about what I have done for the campaign, but because of some concerns that I had with some of Paul's supporters.

Of course, being one of the very few willing to pour cold water on the festivities (where needed) doesn't make one popular either. But that's fine by me as Dr. Paul hasn't attempted a popularity contest in Washington either.

You can take what I have to add to the overall discussion, or you can leave it. You can even join in the chorus of labeling me troll -- even endear me with the term "Shitheel" -- and that's fine as well (a wonderful little ditty from Rockwell, BTW).

But ya know, in the end we're going to find out who the real "Shitheel" is and it aint gonna be me. I'm just a concerned supporter who dares raise issues that many of you faithful may, perhaps, view as heretical. But that doesn't mean that those topics should be ignored (as we're now finding out), or that I should be banned for breeching those subjects.

It's better to confront the possibility of these issues being a problem before they end up slamming us all in the face as just happened here a couple of days ago, is my philosophy. Take it, or leave it. I'm not here to blindly sing the praises of anyone.

***************

As far as the Jean McIver "angle" (and what I meant by that), look, I came across this bit of information and simply decided to share it here. What it means, I don't profess to know. However, many of us really do want to know who wrote these newsletters if Paul isn't going to take personal credit for them.

And since there is nary a mention of anyone involved in these letters (except for Ron Paul's name on every one of them) I felt that it was significant that there is a contact on those old letters that is still active within Paul's political career even today.

Again, I don't know what it means, but perhaps if Paul doesn't know who wrote this stuff, maybe she does. I'm not saying she wrote anything, but clearly she was involved in the dissemination of the newsletters, for what that's worth....

And for the record, I don't know this woman. As another poster stated, she may very well be the kindest person on earth, but that doesn't change the fact that her name is on the newsletter as a contact for subscription information. I didn't release this material, TNR did!

Just take the information at face value and quit trying to discredit me for merely supplying information (or else discussing issues here) that makes you uncomfortable. I'm merely the messenger. I certainly didn't write that stuff, or else hold those views....

She certainly did, and denied to me personally in Febuary of last year knowing anything about those particular quotes.

I called you that because contemptible prevaricator would have gone over a lot of people's heads.

Again, Obama does have a forum, here-

http://www.topix.com/forum/us-senate/barack-obama

There's tens of people over there, since you're a big Obama supporter why don't you head on over there and start slinging the offal about this-

"A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA."

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

That's where he be worshipping.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it, it's the most natural thing in the world to want to be with people who share similarities, who have a common identity, who share a history and culture with themselves. What I would never dream of doing, and what Courtney/Heidi does is to be such an in your face hypocrite it is almost impossible to fathom for the average human. Personally I'd be too embarrassed to even respond, but as you will see Courtney/Heidi has a very specific agenda that requires her to post here, to stir up and enflame people about nebulous charges while ignoring right out in the open, pure, unadulterated racism of the first order in a first tier candidate that gets everything but a reacharound from the MSM. Courtney isn't principled or trying to get to the bottom of something or even disappointed in being misled- otherwise she would have done the minimal homework required before selecting ANOTHER candidate with even greater baggage in the exact same millieu.
