Description

You like your government very, very small -- or none at all. You are a hardcore libertarian. Want to run for Congress? State legislature? Join the Libertarian Party and they'll put you on the ballot. And if you find the Libertarian Party to be too moderate these days, there is the new Boston Tea Party.

Approximately 9% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 31% for all libertarians outside the centrist circle

Best political quiz ever!

Description
You desire substantially less government control of personal activity and somewhat less government control over economic activity than is presently the case in the U.S. I used to classify this area as part of "Moderate Libertarian" but got many objections; I guess calling you a moderate libertarian is akin to calling a liberal Democrat a "moderate communist."

Your views would be best represented by a mix of Libertarian and Democratic representatives—assuming that it was possible to get a significant number of Libertarians elected. The Libertarian Party is still dominated by people far more radical than you though there is an ongoing effort to make the LP more inclusive and less radical. If you have the patience and willingness do deal with infighting, you may want to join this effort. Or, you might find my proposed new party more to your liking. In the near term, however, you might want to at least temporarily register Republican in order to support Ron Paul's presidential campaign.

Why are these quizzes always sponsored by Libertarians?

Two things I don't like:
1. "Radical" Libertarian
2. There was no option for there should be no government at all on the spending question.

I landed pretty much where I thought I would...

Left-leaning Libertarian

Yes.. you wouldn't think it, but those democrats that push for seat belt laws, regulations, etc are exerting authoritarian policies :p

I don't mind the seat belt laws but I believe that laws that enforce "common sense" are a bit unnecessary.

I'm against: seat belt laws, speed laws, licenses, permits, regulations, all involuntary taxation. I think our government is inadvertently subsidizing things by creating these things.

Radical Libertarian
