The NY Times broke the story last night that Judith Regan has filed a $100mm lawsuit against NewsCorp (Murdoch) & Harpers/Collins. The suit asserts that the defendants' execs tried to get her to lie to federal investigators when Bernie Kerik was up for the homeland security chief job back in 2004(?), because they were afraid it would hurt Rudy's chances at the presidency. (Kerik and Judith had an affair.) Keith Oberman broke it on major news TV (MSNBC) and MSNBC is still on it. It's my understanding Kerik is facing some charges about mob connections in the fed's indictment. Nothing from Fox (Murdoch). What an exciting thought for an improvement in RP's chances to win. You watch, the Las Vegas odds makers are going to up his chances now! :)

I've seen a couple of news articles on this but I am not convinced this means there is anything new that could damage Guiliani.

It was already known that Kerik was facing charges and that Kerik was connected to Guiliani. All this lawsuit seems to show IMO is that Fox News may have tried to break the law to protect Kerik & Guiliani before all the news broke about Kerik several years ago. But that cat's already been out of the bag, the news got leaked anyway.

Is there really anything new here that could damage Guiliani?

There's going to be some negative publicity for Giuliani because his name is associated with it, but FOX News is going to take some major heat. I hope some advertisers pull their ads from the Network and hit them where it hurts. This company thinks they can control everyone. Rupert Murdoch is one of the most dangerous men in the World.

Everyone else is reporting about this. I wonder why FOX News isn't reporting this story??? I mean, they are supposed to be a News Network.

I think it would hurt if Fox executives were indicted for suborning perjury.

MSNBC reported that Fox has given Giuliani twice as much air time as Romney and three or four times as much as McCain.

We'll have to see if they start distancing themselves away from Giuliani somewhat. They're going to have to.

Can't wait to see the Next Debate and how much time they want to give Giuliani. I know we still haven't gotten the word that Paul will be at the debate, yet. What a crying shame.

This would be even more negative publicity for FOX if they don't invite Paul at this point. I hope the other Networks would blast their credibility for this decision, if they don't invite Paul.

And if that does happen, I say we organize ourselves and seriously go after the advertisers of FOX.

Fox has proven itself many times to be not a news network but a mouthpiece for private interests...just like many of the other networks

Don't get your hopes up. Rudy is a spin doctor. He comes from a long history of making stuff up and shoving it down peoples throats.

The GOP knows he is an accident waiting to happen. He has had 4 or 5 scandals already and squeaked by. They will wait until the votes are in and then dump him.
