It's always seemed to me that the UN action in 1948 re Israel was far more of a terrorism fuse ignition than Iran was.

i agree with truth warrior that our other policies (support of Israel, military bases, sanctions, support of Arab dictators) contributed more to hatred among the general muslim world.

but there is no doubt that in Iran specifically our support for the Shah contributes greatly
