Tariffs will be Trump's downfall:

Ha, one of this guys arguments is you must buy cheap slave labor goods from China so we are so reliant on their trade that we don't go to war with them. Meanwhile, China is happy to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans with fentanyl. And poison the minds of our young people with brain rot social media platforms. Absolutely retarded shit for brains video.

It's literal globalist propaganda.
"Peace" through submission to global communism, enforced by trade dependence.

Exactly. I don't like the tariffs but it's the only way to equalise the playing field and have some means of production at home.

Donald Trump and virtually all our "representatives" operate within a very limited field of possibilities, that are retstricted by allegiances and lack of creativity and historical knowledge. It is because he/they are part of the system. I could write about this, and have, ad nauseum.

Fighting inflation is easy, but he's not doing it. Supporting domestic business is easy, but he's not doing it. The tariffs of all the govs are not seen as permanent enough to alter business decisions. We're just going to pay more. And with the energy, if he wanted to use energy supply to help bring down inflation, he would not export American energy. Point Blank. Mexico and Canada just levied 25% against the U.S. Cui Bono? Big Government... and the scam rolls on.

It looks like its shaping up that way.

How many Republicans in Congress will oppose him on this? And how many Democrats will join those Republicans versus allying with Trump on the common ground they have with him on this issue?

He did it, Nations are more prepared for it... smacking it back to us....We shall see what happens

On a positive note, I do think he eventually helped American Steel Manufactures, when he did it in his first time

Little NeoCon Trump is triggered by Panama agreement with China its Silk Road?

I thought Trump was anti NeoCon....

Hard to tell how this will work out, but it's a dangerous and stupid game to play. Even if Trump somehow pulls it off (he is a pretty good dealmaker), he's opening Pandora's box for subsequent administrations.

Trump has done plenty of good things in his first 2 weeks, but this may ruin him.

LOL

Opposing CCP domination of the world and their destruction of America is not "Neocon".
Trump is anti-Useful Idiot.

Without this we are ruined.

They are not prepared for it, and they are compounding damage to themselves.

Among other positive effects.

This exactly. If I could give more reputation, I would.

Trump is bad on monetary policy, period. This is likely because he comes from the world of business, not politics, and he's used to strong-arming his way to victory. He lives in a world where you can silence your critics and enemies through favors or by being tough as nails and stubborn. These things have worked out for him in the past, and I certainly have a disdain for career politicians who are making huge decisions in areas such as tech or healthcare when they themselves know almost nothing about these things.

I suppose it's like when ballistic knives were banned. They knew nothing about such knives, but all it took was a cop saying they could potentially get through a bullet-proof vest and Congress was ready to legislate them away.

Congress is good at looking at snippets of information about issues they don't understand and then writing terrible policy based on those snippets, so I'm not defending them in any way. It's just that Trump has the opposite problem: he's not enough of a politician to understand how his power really works or how to use it and tries to apply to rules of business to his new job.
