Heck yeah Los Angeles! Good work! Anyone attend one of the fundraisers?

Success in L.A.
Los Angeles enthusiastically received Ron Paul yesterday!

The fundraising reception in the morning was a great success. It was held at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena and tickets were $500 per person. Sold out!

After the breakfast, Dr. Paul went to the University of Southern California. He met with a group of students and press. He then spoke at a rally outside on campus. A police officer estimated the crowd to be between 700-900 people. They cheered Dr. Paul time and time again. Students and professors in the surrounding buildings had windows opened and listened too.

After the rally, Dr. Paul attended a fundraising reception on campus. Tickets were $500 per person for the event. Sold out!

Yesterday evening, Dr. Paul attended a fundraising dinner at the home of Bill Johnson. Tickets were $2,000 per person. Sold out!

Dr. Paul and staff then traveled to San Francisco arriving about 1:00 am this morning. It will be another busy day.

If 50 people came to each, that'd be $150,000 in the bank!

Big money Big money No Whammy No Whammy STOP!

50 people is the number?

No hes saying hypotheticaly if 50 people were at each, those would be the numbers. I would guess "sold out" means it was filled to capacity, meaning higher numbers than 50 at each. Its just speculation at this point though.

Not puttin words in your mouth cowlesy, just saying I thought thats what you meant.

I drove up from San Diego and attended the rally & cocktail reception fundraiser. Great times and I got a picture with the MAN! (not sure how to attach here)

Haha no worries, that was correct it was just a hypothetical. I'm guessing if they were nice small venues that it would be between 25-50 a place, but who knows.

Anyhow - great to see the campaign pulling in much needed cash!

If these were all sold out, I think that just means we need bigger venues :)

Yeah the two problems were that they didn't have greater capacity for the fundraisers and also for the $2k dinner apparently they decided to let some people attend who had *already* donated $2k before this week. The latter probably wouldn't have been a problem if they had increased the capacity though...

And maybe to charge more. Fred is coming to Texas and look at what he is charging. But, you're probably right. We just need bigger venues.

I see. Well I have no doubt they took note of this. This is a fluid campaign and I think they're good at adjusting on the fly.

I really think California is going to IGNITE this movement.

You might be on to something - if the college kids get it kicked into gear, Berkley, Chico, etc. expect a true revolution - At the USC rally there were times I could swear where RP got scared in how aggressive the crowd was chanting his name...lol

I know someone that went to the dinner. He stated it was 20 people. This one was kept small to give people a chance to really talk with Ron Paul. The other events were larger. This man and his son went to several of the events.
