Stand Down Protocol at March/Rally

Just as the date, theme, and other specifics still need to be worked out, there needs to be a set protocol of responses that are prearranged in case the protest is raided or false violence is instigated. This is a non-violent march/rally so the response to threats should be non-violent as well.

Example: If riot police start raiding or if violence is seen in a certain section, then:
-all protesters get on their knees...domino effect as protesters see other protesters taking the prearranged peaceful position
-all protesters hold hands up high (do not reach in purse or jacket for anything - they just need a reason after all)
-either keep chanting or go totally silent...needs to be prearranged as well
-do not budge...if they drag you so be it...peaceful resistance...they want a negative reaction so don't give it to them

There will be thousands of videos. If riot police are seen attacking peaceful protesters, on their knees, hands up high, then hopefully we can prosecute them to the fullest.

The above does not need to be the official position but a set of protocols should be set up and voiced to the protesters both before the march/rally as well as during it.

Bring cameras and have them in your hands ready at all times to document.

Hopefully it won't come down to that. The DC police for the most part are very laid back. However there have been many different police chiefs over the years and each has a different style.

If the Ron Paul demonstrators don't get violent or even hint at it, then the police won't take a super aggressive stance. They have better things to do than filing out lots of paperwork and arresting people, especially those who are going to bring up the constitution as a defense.

Frankly, my worst nightmare is that certain "elements" will plant people in the crowd expressly to start trouble, so that those pictures will be beamed all over the world and used as the "face" of the "revolution."

We need to stay away from inciteful language on signs, no burning of flags or effigies of Bush, Cheney, etc. These will be the things that the AP photojournalists will be looking for.

Let's stay with Ron Paul's message of hope, opportunity, peace and freedom, and we will be much better off.

Always keeping your hands visible around police is a good rule to follow regardless of where you are. Police like to see your hands, for their own safety. I have no problem keeping my hands visible around police.

Protip: If you're carrying a flag with both hands, you get extra cool points. I don't expect police to go after someone who has both hands visible, carrying a flag. You think that would look good for DC? Nnnnno!

Hear! Hear!

Hear, hear! I do believe that this is what Ron Paul would have us to do as well! This will be a long, sustained war against a century of corrupt nepotism from the Federal Reserve and other NWO cronies. We need to be in it for the long haul, and that means playing by the rules until they make the rules such that we can no longer fight for freedom, in which case, it will result in a call to arms.

Keep in mind - one of the purposes of the Constitution was so that if and when the government failed to follow the constitution the people have patriotic/civil duty to rise up and overthrow that government and to restore the constitution. They may have the money and the weapons right now, but we have the voices and we will be heard.

The movement just needs to become larger. Once it is in the millions and there is organization to it, then it will be hard to stop it.

Yes, yes, all good posts, we must be ready willing and able to get on our knees and kiss the ass of the police state.

Reality Check

Who are you trying to kid? The DC cops are NOT your friends. I have dozens of friends that have been the recipients of their gestapo tactics. I was arrested in Upper Senate Park in September along with 3 other women. Our crime? Reading the Constitution out loud in public. http://youtube.com/watch?v=BCLuYvBeq40
