I have a few question and placing ron paul signs. I have ordered a few of the standard yard sign.

The question I have is:

1. Should I place thsese signs in different areas of my town or just saturate one heavily traveled area? Ex there is an exit off of I-95 that I could put all of my signs on the off and on ramp and maybe place one on boths sides of the interstate. I want them to remember his name so I'm thinking saturate an area.

2. I want my signs to be as permaent has Mitt Romeny's hair. By that I mean, I don't want them to removed. Hell I have seen the same Romney sign for what seems like all year (of course noone can see it because the grass has completely covered it.) :D Maybe I'll be civil and cutt downt he grass. Okay stupid idea.

Any other suggestions?

I have a bike that I ride to and from the store for groceries and exercise. I punched holes in my Ron Paul yard signs and fastened them onto the sides of my baskets with plastic zip ties - makes a nifty "Ron Paul Mobile"

Zip ties are very durable and won't break or tear.

If you see any road signs that have two posts holding them up, place the signs between the posts under the sign, this will keep the mowers from taking them out.

I'd go for a wide variety of locations on slower moving roads. RonPaulStickers.com has a 4 per panel sign that is perfect for nailing to telephone polls ( http://www.ronpaulstickers.com/vertical_sign.html ) and they are about $.50 each. If you can get yourself up high enough, I don't think anyone will be taking them down too quickly, (except maybe the power company).

Well, personally if I see a few signs in a lot of areas, I'd be more influenced than if I see a bunch in one area. A bunch in one area seems like one person, but signs all over the place seem like broader support.

Rule of thumb for fast moving areas - at least 2 signs, spaced a few car lengths apart. If they miss the first, they can read the second. A lone sign doesn't do much good unless traffic is moving relatively slowly. (billboard sized signs excluded)

But I'd try to spread them out. We put about 50 yard signs around town last weekend... the ones on the interstate got taken down when the mowers came through, and one blew over. Had we put ALL our signs there, we'd be srewed. Instead, we still have about 40 standing this week. Not to mention the banners..

And I wouldn't recommend the pole signs from RPS. They're not nearly visible enough. Dean should have some up for sale soon enough, wait for his!

How effective are signs in getting name recongition?

I have had people tell me they saw the signs. Once they hear his name for the first time, read a slim jim, or see him on tv, there seems to be a light bulb moment where they put two and two together. "Oh! THAT GUY! Yeah, I've seen signs for him."

I can't give you scientific stats or anything, but the signs seem to help as far as I can tell.

Coroplast signs are VERY effective!

1. Use un-official campaign signs, without any web addresses.

2. Place on power poles, 10 feet or higher, a 6 foot step ladder will work.

3. Make sure the sign contains 3 things, Ron Paul, President '08, and a message of some kind. Like "Champion of the Constitution", or NO IRS, or "The Thomas Jefferson of our day", etc...

4. In the county, plaster everything(never nail to a TREE). And in the city, be very selective. Cities are very strict in there enforcement of sign ordnances. So place each sign out of viewing distance of another. Place at "T" intersections of busy streets (on a power pole). And other high volume areas.

5. Place 4x8 signs on forgotten billboards, the backs of functioning billboards, Chain link fences(with permission, tie wrapped), tie wrap on barb wire fences(with permission), or use 10' T-bar fence posts driven in the ground with 2x2's for cross bars that can be nail or screwed to.

Just my 2 cents

same. people are always like i don't know who he is but i've seen the signs.

If you saturate an area make sure and move the signs every few days to a new area. That would be the best option.

I found it useful to spread out my signs. I found that in a few areas, people have taken them down but only a few areas. IMO, spreading them out reduces the problem of people taking them down.
