Should we keep our AIG life insurance?

Husband and I are young and healthy and we don't have a very risky lifestyle. Husband is 36 and I'm 30. Our daughter is 2.5 yo. I'm a stay at home mom.

I may be economically stupid, but I just have to ask: since the AIG bailout, is it even worth it now to pay our $30 per month to AIG for our life insurance on my husband?

Probably yes, I paid my yearly premium after the bailout was announced. But it may be a good idea to have more than one insurance company anyway for life insurance.

The insurance parts of AIG were making money and will probably be sold off to someone else who would want those premiums to keep coming in and would likely honor the policy contracts.

Yes - it shouldn't be a problem. Large companies like that are divided into separate smaller companies/divisions. This way they can be diverse and sheltered and other financial/ legal terms I cant remember at the moment because it's 430am and I'm sitting in an airport.
