Should I buy the John Adams Series?

I haven't seen the HBO treatment, but I did read the book it was based on and found it to be excellent.

I'd suggest picking up the book from your local library if you are interested in the subject. It's really good. And it's almost a mini-biography of other founders such as Franklin and Jefferson since they figure so prominently in the Adams' story.

You might even consider checking your library for the HBO series. My local library has it.

It's good, but I would just rent it or get it from the library. I wish they wouldn't have rushed things so much in the mini-series. They could have covered more detail and made this much longer.

It isn't the most historically accurate thing out there, but it is a good entertainment. Rent it if you can.

I bought it for my father on Father's Day...He liked it alot and had read the book earlier...He said the DVD set has alot of special features, one being an option to have 'historical trivia and factoids' pop up while your watching it.
