SHAME THE GOP – We’re Trying to Join the Party and We Get the Cold Shoulder!

A LOT of new people either re-joined or newly-joined the Republican Party to support one of their Republican presidential candidates. In fact, Ron Paul has been a Republican Congressman for 10 terms and is more Republican than Giuliani and Romney put together! I personally think it is SHAMEFUL that other Republicans are shunning us and wishing we would make like a tree.

Now that you've read that.....In my opinion, we should repeat the above paragraph a million times to every Ron-Paul-hating Republican we meet. Everything the media has done to this point (“He’s a Libertarian”, “Will you support the Republican nominee?”, “Non-Republicans support him”) has been purposefully and maliciously DESIGNED by the buttholes in power to drive a wedge between Ron Paul and the Republican base. WE MUST FIGHT THIS AT ALL COSTS!!! IMHO our #1 focus should be to re-connect with the Republican Base.

SHAME them (the Republican Base) for not warming up to new Republicans. Make them feel bad for not welcoming us to the party.

I am a Ron Paul Republican!!

Ditto! I loved how Cafferty set Wolf Blitzer right when Blitzer was like he's a libertarian, and Cafferty said he's running under the Republican ticket so we should call him a Republican.

What if we all dialed GOP talk shows and complained about getting shunned by the party we're trying to join?

When Ron Paul talks about the fundraising records, he should say things like "Grassoots supporters helped topple Hillary's fundraising record!" and "The Republican party now has a new fundraising record!"

:D

I think a better idea (instead of complaining) is to call them up and tell them why we're proud of being Republicans. You know, we believe in limited government, less taxes, no nation-building... And then tell them we're proud Americans. We love our freedom and privacy. Oh, and don't forget to point out that Ron Paul and his message embodies all of those. He's definitely one of the most conservative old-school Republicans and one of the most honest and honorable American citizens in our country today. :)

I've found that the best way to win them over is by being respectful and not coming on too strong. I've had several people at the local GOP group express how they like to see new people getting motivated to get involved with politics. You can't just shove Ron Paul down their throats, you have to be subtle.

Fighting the party in no way helps the campaign.

If they don't want us, that's fine as long as they don't get in our way.

If they accept us, embrace it and use it to help Dr. Paul.

Getting angry and militant is not how the NeoCons subverted the Republican party. They laid the groundwork to infiltrate and alter by slowly assuming positions of power and gradually changing the rhetoric.

Be patient, be smart.

I'm not saying to fight them. Shame them. SHAME. Make them feel bad for not welcoming us to the party :D

We could spin this by saying many of Giuliani/Romney/Huckabee's supporters are trying to kill the Republican party by making Ron Paul's supporters not feel welcome.

Yes! Hannity taught us something useful! :D

Bottom line - the more independents and dems that become REPS teh more these jokers will fade into teh woordwork b/c they are OUTNUMBERED!!!!!!!

Does anyone know how many people are actively trying to become a rep? Do we have an exact count? Maybe we need to do a "Delegate Bomb" or something

Also, I recommend "Ron Paul Democrats" and "Ron Paul Independents" say this:

"I'm a Democrat/Independent right now, but if Ron Paul gets nominated, you can call me a Republican"

There is no necessity for emotional violence here,
we do not vilify and denigrate recovering alcoholics.

Neither should we vilify and revile Republicans recovering from a
long bout with an addiction to NeoCon Propaganda,
a broad spectrum opiate to which authoritarian personality types
are particularly susceptible and for which most have no natural immunity.

Agreed, they don't care at all. I got laughed at and told we don't want you hear and we are happy if you don't come back. They would rather have a tiny party with the "right" people in it. We are not the right people.

Ron Paul has been showing you guys the way. With names like Goldwater and Taft, just do a little research and stand proudly as a New Republican ready to dismantle the neocon subversion.

there are soooo many women at my daughters school that claim to be democrats but after getting to know them their beliefs are way more conservative than they thought.. I have personally registered 6 of them as republicans to vote for Ron Paul (although one doesn't really care, shes just my best friend so shes doing it for me and so ill shut up about it)

one thing that really sticks with a lot of people i have found out is the phrase "Its not about Left or Right anymore its about Right or wrong"
