What's the restrictions on providing services in return for donations to a political campaign?

I know people put on car washes, and plays and stuff. That's small potatoes though.

I'm pretty sure you couldn't put a contract on things, so that makes big ticket items a little problematic. You don't want to put in a lot of time for a donation and get scammed at the end.

So programming for Ron Paul seems like a non starter.

But what about Tech support for Ron Paul? I assume this internet supported campaign has a bunch of technical know how.

People who want something from you have to call and talk to a Ron Paul supporter. There's usually dead air when someone has to do something and wait on the computer. Good time to pitch, and they'll be expecting it anyway. In the end, you help them, they hear about Ron Paul, and if they're honest, they'll chip something into the campaign.

The idea can be expanded to other hotline formats. Dating, economics, car repair. Whatever that people have questions about.

What do you guys think?
