This idea started in another thread, but was good enough to put out there for your input and support:

Perhaps people who have maxed out their donations can sponsor their own 'paid staffers' to go to NH for a couple of weeks to canvas for ron paul. just a thought.
we can have a thread with people who are willing to go if someone can help them financially....so that patrons can find their staffers to send to NH to campaign for ROn Paul. We can send our own army there to campaign.

I'm sure you can get hotel rooms by the week there... i know here you can get them for about $200 a week. $400 for two weeks room. Budget $30 a day for food and drink. $60 a week in gas. plus materials and cost to get to NH and back. Looking at less than $1000 a week to send one individual to campaign in NH full time one behalf of ron paul. depending on airline ticket and such...
the cost per week goes down the longer a person is in NH campaigning.

I guess it depends on the level of interest of those on this forum that have maxed out and still have money to help the cause.

i'm sure if someone from NH helped they could find the best 'low budget' package for that area to reduce cost and increase the number of people we could send.

I think its a great idea.

we should use carpool to save on gas... I'm not sure how taking a plane out there can be effective, how could we get around? we should hit around 10,000+ houses a day, just go all out...let's go after EVERYONE

For those people that didn't see our previous discussion, you should restate your interest in being a volunteer so any interested patrons could contact you regarding campaigning for Dr. Paul in NH.

We need a list of serious volunteers and a list of patrons with the currency to make it happen, and we will send our own internets militia to NH. It would be a good way to take some of the burden off of Dr. Paul.

oh. yes, I'm interested. I'm from new jersey. once we get nto nh, we should go after every living person..seriously.. we can't afford to be conventional

coke in the morning..water later on, ramen noodles

I'm interested as well, but I think I'm too far away geographically to make it cost effective. So all of those on the East coast that could do this, please speak up! We MUST win NH!

I think it is the best way to do this. I am still sick after the news that OCT 12th is the deadline to switch parties to republican. Think of all those democrats and libertarians we will lose.

If booked in advanced, some round-trip tickets can be purchased for about $500, which, if you are campaining 24/7 for 2 weeks comes out to be about $30 a day and would fit in the above mentioned budget.

nh has a deadline? wtf?? like 70% are independents, or are they ok?

Deadline for which state? NH? perhaps they can switch indie if the can't stomach switching to GOP. they can still vote as indies in NH.

The way it works is this. For all democrats and libertarians the deadline to switch party affiliation is OCt 12th. So, this is about 25% to 35% of us. This will in effect shave several percentage points off of Ron Pauls vote percentage. Independents or republicans are not effected.

that's why we need to hit the independents...

BUT

dems and libertarians can't declare independent? then maybe vote?

If this idea flys with our forum members, i don't see the first volunteer getting to NH no earlier than the 12th of October... and most likely the beginning of November, which would be a perfect time to start door-to-door canvasing.

An idea along these lines, why not have everyone outside of New Hampshire "sponsor" a New Hampshire supporter, or several people support a NH Ron Paul supporter.

You can help them out with whatever they need that you can do from a distance. They need some phone calls made, they need some flyers sent somewhere...we help them out.

that's possible... but I hope we can knock on every door, that would ENSURE a victory..as long as they aren't aggressive

Excellent idea, do you have any ideas on the best way to get the donations to the people that need it with a source of accountability so that donors know that their moneys are spent on Ron Paul campaign activities? Also- what about hiring people in NH as our own staffers there for full time work? We probably have enough donors on this forum alone to have a Ron Paul Forums office and staffers in NH, just need a great leader in NH to take such an idea by the horns and go with it!

A date needs to be set. There are meet up groups, besides the Concord HQ meet up group, from maine and boston that are willing to help, maybe not for the week but a weekend. Maybe make another weekend push much like the family walk? It would be more cost effective having more people and less of a time span.

We could prob get at least 50 people from those groups alone.

We would also need a list from the campaign of houses not visited.

That is all i can think of right now.
