Very little coverage of this anywhere, at least on the national level:

At least, far less than the coverage of the BLM outrage cases such as Jacob Blake, Rayshard Brooks, and of course, George Floyd. This occurred just days before George Floyd's death.

This man simply answers the door with a pistol, having seen no one in his door's peep-hole as the cops had moved to "defensive positions" at the periphery of the door, and likely didn't understand the "Phoenix Police" greeting. He was summarily executed, to the horror of his girlfriend.

This is possibly just a (costly) rookie mistake. The man did nothing illegal (in Arizona). He appeared startled and began to retreat and drop his gun behind him after seeing that the late night visit was from the cops. There is very little room to claim this was justified, but there is still no word as to charges for the officer.

No one burned down Phoenix for Ryan Whitaker.

I wish the best for his people.
