Can you believe.. CBN (Pat Robertson network) has a decent article about RP??

Are they waking up to the only TRUE Christian candidate?
(Rev Huckabee included ~
Jesus The Christ would NOT kill innocent lives to 'save face' OR honor)

Ron Paul: Mr. Moneybags
November 5, 2007

How dare you laugh about Ron Paul's candidacy. How dare you I say!

How can you laugh at a presidential candidate who just raised more than three million dollars (make that FOUR) in one day!!!

That is not a misprint folks. Read below from The Associated Press:

~~~~
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, aided by an extraordinary outpouring of Internet support Monday, hauled in more than $3.5 million in 20 hours.
Paul, the Texas congressman with a Libertarian tilt and an out-of-Iraq pitch, entered heady fundraising territory with a surge of Web-based giving tied to the commemoration of Guy Fawkes Day.
Fawkes was a British mercenary who failed in his attempt to kill King James I on Nov. 5, 1605. He also was the model for the protagonist in the movie "V for Vendetta." Paul backers motivated donors on the Internet with mashed-up clips of the film on the online video site YouTube as well as the Guy Fawkes Day refrain: "Remember, remember the 5th of November."
Paul's total deposed Mitt Romney as the single-day fundraising record holder in the Republican presidential field. When it comes to sums amassed in one day, Paul now ranks only behind Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton, who raised nearly $6.2 million on June 30, and Barack Obama.
The rest of the article is here. (link)
Are you kidding me?
Ron Paul is becoming the Thurston Howell III of presidential politics.
(Look it up. It's my Gilligan's Island reference,)
What we are seeing here is pretty amazing.
I'm somewhat speechless which is rare.
OK, Ron Paul has the money side down pat.
Now, his national poll numbers need to start moving. It's funny.
Huckabee's poll numbers are moving without much money.
Paul isn't moving as much nationally yet he has much more green.
And wins a bunch of straw polls.
Let's see what happens when Paul starts running campaign ads.
His breakthrough state is Independent New Hampshire.
Can he win? Even if he doesn't, who does he impact the most?
Ron Paul.
We're living in his World. We're all just bystanders. Just get out of the way.
Current mood: pensive
Legion
I am blown away by the November 5 money bomb.
My husband was worried when they missed the October official campaign goal,
but I told him not to worry.
The grassroots will send in the money when they want to send in the money.
And not a moment sooner.
We are breathing down the neck of $4 million in one day. It is truly amazing.
We have less than an hour to go. Can we pull in $200,000 more?
We are not 86 or 917 geeks in basements. We are gainfully employed, we are underemployed, we are still figuring things out. We are young, we are seasoned, we are young at heart. We are firemen and policemen and teachers. We are entrepreneurs and burger flippers and waitresses. We are techies and gamers and bloggers. (Oh, my) We are girlfriends and shoehorses and fashionistas. We are geeks and preppies and political junkies. We are Christian and Muslim and Jews - and atheists and agnostics and questioners - united. We are Red, White and Blue. We are American through and through and we are mad as Hell and we demand our country back.
I've seen undeniably through this historic effort today that though we are many things, we are One Thing. We are Legion. We are coming.
They have seen the beginnings of our front lines appearing over the mountain's crest, at full gallop, flags waving, trumpets blaring. I have one word of caution: Expect to be met in the valley and be ready to do battle. This will not be for the faint of heart, but our cause is the just one, because we fight for ourselves and the rights of our children.
Ron Paul needs money every day, though. Don't forget that. Some of our footsoldiers need to take on the mantle of consistency. It's hard to make a plan without that element.
Sorry Mark, it is 1:30 here...great stuff none the less.
No worries friend.. after quite a few days of little to no sleep promoting Nov5th..
I was quite the tired puppy too like so many of us.
This is cool to see such an 'inside perspective',
and the CBN piece was unexpected too.
I'm curious, as one who probably won't have all $2300 total to give whether
that means both in the primary and general election, or both, ($2300 x 2)
is it LEGAL for wealthy people who have more than enough money to give,
and who have already given their $2300 limit,
to give us poor people money to donate in our name
since we won't have the whole $2300 to give and thus
reach out own personal donation limit?
i.e. Ross Perot gives me $2000 to give to the campaign.
And if so, should we set-up some kind of system to do this?
She did post over here yesterday. That could be the reason that not too many people read your original post.
No. I'm in the same boat, my final $7.91 until payday went to the campaign last night.
You can however, sell items to raise money to donate. And who knows, you might get a more than "fair" price from a Ron Paul supporter if you state that all proceeds are going to the campaign. Maybe list on eBay that way as well.
I just hope that the evangelicals are still paying attention to CBN instead of "leaders" like Hagee.
