I have been measuring the number of Ron Paul's subscribers/friende/members on YouTube, MySpace, and MeetUp over the course of the last week. I have been keeping track of the measures daily (all measures taken in the morning of that day), and been figuring out percents.
Here are today's and last Monday's measures
Monday May 28, 2007
YouTube Subscribers 12058
MySpace Friends 21375
Meetup Members 5986
Monday June 4, 2007
YouTube Subscribers 13888 15.176%
MySpace Friends 24239 13.399%
Meetup Members 7767 29.753%
The percents there are the weekly percent increase.
At the current weekly percent increase, in six months (over a month before the first primary) the Ron Paul campaign will have...
-412,408 YouTube subscribers
-495,605 MySpace Friends
-4,027,829 MeetUp members (yeah, 4 MILLION)
Now, to me thats pretty neat. I know that this kind of growth won't go on forever, but it still is encouraging, especially since this week will be a big boost to the campaign. If we keep spreading the word, who says that four million people won't have joined the meetup groups?
