Hi Everyone!

Thought you might want to see how we flew a RP sign high in the skies against the Chicago skyline. We have photo's on our meetup site:http://ronpaul.meetup.com/94/photos

The extra large balloons can be ordered thru Edmund Scientific http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp?pn=3041755&bhcd2=1181588262
Durable Foamboard is very lightweight and can be used for signs.http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&prodCatType=0&catalogId=10051&productId=10710&cmArea=SEARCH

yeah no scale... although, that's pretty awesome for some free advertising. Just don't do it where it would be in air traffic lanes... although, hrm, maybe this is bad publicity from a "littering" standpoint? :)

Awesome, keep up the good work! I like the slogan Ron Paul Revolution, but the campaign seems to not like it due to the fact that they aren't trying to create a revolution. I can respect that, but what Ron Paul basically is doing is a revolutionary act: telling the truth and obeying the constitution.

Could you provide a source for this statement?
My understanding, as of the June 1 meetup conference call, was the campaign was not at all opposed to "the spray painted signs popping up everywhere."

Littering ?....of course our rig was tethered.

Good deal.

Ron Paul Revolution has NO meaning with the average voter. Many assume it is a radio talk show or some other matter.

The message should be clear. At minimum it should state "Ron Paul for President."

So, if you want to have "Ron Paul Revolution - President 2008" That's fine, but the whole idea makes no sense and only means something to those internal to the movement.

Or at least give a website URL on the sign, so those not in the loop will go home and logon...

ronpaul2008.com, etc...

Doesn't necessarily need to have meaning.

It has been shown many times that people prefer what they recognize. That is why it is important to expose people to Ron Paul's name. And if they wonder who the hell he is, then that may be even better than if it says "Vote Ron Paul 4 Prez" or some such, that they might immediately dismiss and forget about.

Because if one day I see a bunch of big balloons in the sky with some guy's name and the word Revolution, I"m going to wonder about it. If I later see people holding signs in the street, or on the internet, I'm going to wonder about that too. By the time I see him on TV or (hopefully!) on the ballot, I've been conditioned to recognize the name, and I know there is energy and excitement around the guy.

I'm no marketer and I'm sure I'm expressing it poorly, but from what I've read, repeated name/brand impressions are much more important than actual content. That's why the MSM loves repeating Rudy McRomson and Hillary Obama so much.

Besides, I doubt a URL would even be legible at that height/size.

Who is John Galt?

and I forgot to mention....

This is really friggin cool! My hat is off to you guys, and I hope that people do it all over the place.

I would also love to see a big spotlite, kinda like the bat signal. The nation's people can turn it on for Ron Paul to come save us whenever the gov't gets too big. hehehhee.

Great job!!! I'm checking on prices to fly a ron paul banner behind a plane or two in my area! ANYTHING that gets name recognition is good!!
