Here are some Ron Paul video's of a speech of his in Las Vegas.

This is the way political speeches used to sound.

These video's are not my work but this section looked like the place they should go. They are the work of the Blonde in the video at the end.

(P.S. Part 5 touches on the illegal invasion.)

Jamestown was socialist/communist? That is very interesting considering it failed.

Well when they tried the collective effort it was just a smaller group of people who tried to "pool community production". It was something that just happened rather than the type of socialism that is around now. Because it was not really legislated, the people of early America had no real desire to "collectively provide for the community", and because it was not really created with the barrel of a gun it soon collapsed.
Actually I would go as far to say collectivism in this situation, such as when a group of say 100 people, step off of a boat into a wilderness, is actually the only time that socialism naturally develops without externalities. It soon (months) fails though as human instinct and the market begin to more efficiently allocate scarce resources.

Can't really be accurately compared to say a NK, but it still illustrates the principle of private property.

It must of failed for the same reason other socialist societies fail. If everyone gets a fair share of everything there is to divide up, why work hard.
