Ron Paul radio and tv ads now up on the mainsite.

“Save Our Constitution”

“He Walks His Talk”

are both great; but the other two weren't exactly impressive

He said at the end of the commercial. "I approve this ad", Not meaasge. I like that.

I am a little disappointed in the Radio Ads, I like the last one "He Walks is Talk", but the others were just plain boring. For an ad to be effective it has to grab you, except for the last one these don't.

Dean, I think yours is the best out of the bunch. And I can't wait to see what you cook up in the future. The campaign should hire you to do this.

yeahhh...

i really hate to be a downer, but i'm not very happy at all with the ads. "He walks the talk" is decent, but the other two don't really offer anything that the slim jims and the website dont already have. But i guess thats the point... i just wish it were more specific.

Sappy love songs and wimpy announcers don't contribute the the direct, unapolagetic, and forceful message of liberty.

I think the *best* ad would simply be Ron talking, without music, stating his positions *specifically* ...

"I'm Ron Paul, a 10 term congressman from Texas. I am running for President in 2008... perhaps you may have heard of me by now. I believe in the right of all individuals to govern their own lives - and have never voted against what is explicitely outlined in our Constitution. I voted not only against the unconstitutional Iraq war in 2001 - i voted against the unconstitutional Patriot act, and I voted against the unconstitutional Real ID act and gun control legislation as well. I, as a Doctor, believe strongly in the right to life - but I also believe that it is the responsibility of individual states and the voters within, and not the federal government, to define those rights. As your president my first act will be to end the Iraq war now, and end hostilities with all nations who have not sent their armies against us. As your president i will enforce the rule of law, secure the border, and end birthright citizenship. As your president i pledge to uphold the constitution of this great nation, and fight fervently to protect our individual right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Join me in Ames this Saturday and let your voice be heard - there is yet hope for America!"

LOL... i just wrote that off the cuff, but i think something direct like that would be INFINITELY more effective than merely copying the "usual" cookie-cutter campaign ad and adding your own text.

Lets hope they keep these coming :)

I think your right so much could be said from Ron in that minute but maybe they know what will work on the people who don't really care.

I can't believe it !!!

Not a single word about "STOP THE WAR IN IRAQ" "JUST BRING THEM HOME"

Excuse me, but stopping the War in Iraq is the biggest issue that 70% of Americans want to happen!!

Wow, can somebody else get another ad on TV.

Are there any links to any other radio ads that some people have created?

I think the radio ads are perfect.

The first one you might think you are listening to a song on the radio (good deception).
The second addresses a BIG question many people have about Ron Paul (how are you going to get Bin Laden with "non intervention")
The last is the most inspiring and a call to action.

I think anyone that is going to Ames to vote probably already knows Ron Paul is for bringing the troops home and stopping the war. That was the one thing that he got clearly accross at the Des Moines debate.

I think they addressed the issues that people will be voting for. Good strategy in my opinion.

The TV ad is okay.

As you listen to the ads, try to keep in mind their objective.

It is NOT to get someone to suddenly jump to their feet and commit to vote for Paul in the straw poll. Not going to happen in 30 seconds -- no matter how good the ad is.

A very successful ad will get the person listening to visit the website, google Ron Paul, stop and read coverage about Paul in the local newspaper, etc. Once he/she does that, he/she will be hooked like the rest of us.

It takes many impressions (at least 5) to deliver a message. Don't expect an ad, any ad, to work miracles.

hehe... i dont know... i was hooked after two ;)

i understand *why* they made those adsthe way they did. but the problem is that it seems they have done so under the assumption that people WILL listen to political ads in the first place. Everyone i have ever known has immediately cringed and turned the station when that sappy political feel-good music comes on, and plastic announcer comes on. The Ron Paul ads are no different.

Ron has a very compelling, very friendly and personable, and very clear and direct voice. There is no better narrator for his words than himself. After listening to the radio, if the music stopped and someone started talking i would at the VERY least listen for a few moments... if only to figure out it wasn't an emergency public address or something. And by that point, most people would be hooked. If i heard music from another political ad, i would have turned it by that point.

People who are politically interested will look into Ron Paul on their own. We have to attract people who don't realize there is something out there different than the rest. Thats why i think a different type of ad would work the best. Heck, 2 different 15 second ads during each break, split up, would probably stick in your head like nothing else AND get the point across.

The only problem with these ones is that we need Ron to read them!! We can't do that from a PAC - that has to come from the campaign.

The "Hope For America" ad isn't great. I wish they would just run the others instead.

Make sure to donate to the effort.
