I thought I would pass along some stats from the Ron Paul Library. This might shed some light on what people are searching for when they want more information about Ron Paul.

In the library's first month, we saw about 15,000 visitors with 60,000 page views. The average time spent on the site was about 5 minutes per visit, although it's not uncommon to find people on the site reading for an hour or more.

These are the topics, sorted by most popular to least popular:
7% The War in Iraq
6% The September 11 Attacks
6% Taxes
6% Abortion and Stem Cell Research
6% Other Topics
5% The War on Drugs
5% Health Care

These are the 20 most popular documents accessed in the library:
14% In the Name of Patriotism (Who are the Patriots?)

4% Your Taxes Subsidize China

Of course this is not too scientific, but there are a couple of observations.
1. The topics are fairly evenly distributed. People are looking for Paul's position on a variety of issues. There is no single hot topic that people click on.

2. The high number of clicks on the 4th document (the Kyoto treaty) shows people are looking for Paul's position on global warming. This document is somewhat hard to find in the "other topics" section of the library. Paul has not published a lot of content related to global warming or the environment.

3. U.S. Foreign Policy, Free Trade, Privacy, Property Rights and Eminent Domain were at the bottom of the topic interest. It's interesting that the Ron Paul 2008 campaign site has 7 issues listed, of which four are in this bottom ranking. Perhaps people already know Paul's position on these issues, hence the low clicks, or people don't really care that much about those issues.

Food for thought...

Property Rights and Eminent Domain won't be burning issues to the often-young voters surveying Dr Paul. They're more likely to still be saving for their first home... not so worried about government confiscation.

But I agree the pattern shows that people are thoroughly investigating all his positions.

I use your site a lot, and direct people to it for reading where Dr. Paul stands on various issues they care about.

Thanks for reporting the stats, and I'd love for you to continue to share them with us so we know how we're doing on drumming up interest!

Although I have read Texas Straight talk and am very well versed on where Ron Paul stands on the issues, I have never heard of this site until now...honestly! It's great!

Thanks RPLibrary and keep up the excellent work.
