I thought I would pass along some stats from the Ron Paul Library. This might shed some light on what people are searching for when they want more information about Ron Paul.
In the library's first month, we saw about 15,000 visitors with 60,000 page views. The average time spent on the site was about 5 minutes per visit, although it's not uncommon to find people on the site reading for an hour or more.
These are the topics, sorted by most popular to least popular:
7% The War in Iraq
6% The September 11 Attacks
6% Taxes
6% Abortion and Stem Cell Research
6% Other Topics
5% The War on Drugs
5% Health Care
5% Gun Control and the 2nd Amendment
5% The War on Terror
4% Freedom and Personal Liberty
4% Education
4% Border Security and Immigration Reform

2% Defending the Constitution
2% The Draft
2% U.S. Foreign Policy
2% Free Trade
1% Privacy
1% Property Rights and Eminent Domain
1% Campaign Finance Reform
These are the 20 most popular documents accessed in the library:
14% In the Name of Patriotism (Who are the Patriots?)
9% Neo – CONNED!
6% Unintended Consequences of the Drug War
6% Debt and Taxes

4% Effective and Practical Counter-Terrorism Measures
4% Your Taxes Subsidize China

Of course this is not too scientific, but there are a couple of observations.
1. The topics are fairly evenly distributed. People are looking for Paul's position on a variety of issues. There is no single hot topic that people click on.
2. The high number of clicks on the 4th document (the Kyoto treaty) shows people are looking for Paul's position on global warming. This document is somewhat hard to find in the "other topics" section of the library. Paul has not published a lot of content related to global warming or the environment.
3. U.S. Foreign Policy, Free Trade, Privacy, Property Rights and Eminent Domain were at the bottom of the topic interest. It's interesting that the Ron Paul 2008 campaign site has 7 issues listed, of which four are in this bottom ranking. Perhaps people already know Paul's position on these issues, hence the low clicks, or people don't really care that much about those issues.
Food for thought...
