He has said this many times in interviews. That's pretty much end of discussion.

We'll see. It is important for him to dedicate himself to this primary process and appear as if he's not using it as a leg-up to a third-party run, but who knows what could happen, especially since he sees how passionate support is for him now.

The fact is that he said he wasn't going to do it, and I believe him 100%

Because he said he would not do it, you can take that to the bank. He is not gonna do it.

If he should happen to lose his bid for the Republican nomination, which is not hard to imagine, the support he's garnered, if he decided to run as an Indie or 3rd Party Candidate, would practically guarantee he'd get at least 30% of the vote in the National Election. It'd be Perot in '92 all over again.

I'm writing his name in if he doesn't get a nomination, and YOU can take that to the bank.

More specifically, he says generally that he doesn't have plans to do that and he doesn't intend to do it. That doesn't mean that he might not change his mind.

Lets do it then people :-)

Lets get the job done :-)

That's right, we need to git'er done.

Runner-up isn't going to cut it.

I'm unaware of the situation in other states, but I can tell you that in Texas if someone votes in the primary then they are ineligible to sign any petitions to get someone on the ballot. Only registed voters who did not vote in the primary can sign a petition to get someone on the ballot. And as was pointed out, 3rd party candidates are perceived as not viable.

I'm totally confused here, so please help me get this straight --

I had also heard that Ron Paul said if he doesn't get the nomination, he won't be running as Third Party Candidate. If that is true, and he doesn't get the nomination, I had figured to myself -- "Okay, everybody will just Write-In Ron Paul". But then I read somewhere else that you can't just write in anybody -- that the write-in vote doesn't count unless the person you write in is actually 'running' (whatever that means here).

So does that mean that if Ron Paul does not get the nomination, there's no way for us to vote for him to be President?

Because if that is the case, then I don't have much faith, because I think that even if every voter voted for Ron Paul in the Primary, we the voters are not who is going to decide who gets the Nomination, and whoever does decide who will get the nomination -- I don't trust them.

So we are spending a lot of time, money and effort for Ron Paul for President, and I would like to get this sorted out before I invest even more.

Please clarify this for me.

Can Ron Paul win the Presidency if he does not get the Nomination ???

Not true. You can write in anyone you want, even Mickey Mouse. They won't win, but we can probably get an impressive number of people voting for Ron Paul anyway.

If Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination, I greatly suspect he'll endorse someone. Probably the Constitution or Libertarian candidate. Now imagine a principled third party getting 20% to 30% of the vote!

But even a good enough showing in the primary *might* get him considered as VP, or put on the short list for a cabinet post.

We gotta think big to get him elected ppl

we can make this thing happen. You know and I know that deep down ... America *needs* Ron Paul to fix things up. Without Ron, we'll keep going in a useless direction.

You've got to *believe*. People know when you believe something. They can tell.

Lets let people know what we believe.
