Ron Paul didn't cure my apathy.

Ron Paul is my common denominator with you. You see I have been looking at our country for a long time, noticing how everyone seems to be so self-absorbed and out of touch with the rest of the world. I felt mostly alone with this viewpoint, even though I occasionally run into to other people that share it. However the most important thing I will have gained from all of this, is that I am not alone.

When I first discovered Ron Paul I could not believe there was someone in our Government that actually reflected my opinions of compassion not just for ourselves but for the whole world. Then I saw the massive amount of people that stood up to support Ron in his quest to change. I have to tell you, that gave me hope. You see, I'm use to people who only care about themselves and it has always bothered me that I felt I was a small minority. Now I know different. Now I know there are others in this country that share this highly moral and humanistic viewpoint, thanks to Ron Paul.

So even though Ron and I may not see eye to eye on some issues, like religion. I know we both come from a point of compassion and I think I would be correct in saying you do too. We don't have to agree 100%. We can respect our differences. This is something I despise from our media, our medias propagates one of the highest forms of racism. They love to throw us all in nice neat little boxes. But we know different, if we're paying attention. It's not just FOX, it's all the media. They just have different tactics. Although FOX is definitely the most obvious.

So I just wanted to tell everyone in this movement, how much I appreciate everything you are doing. Thank you for restoring my faith. Not because I feel it's ending, because it's only just begun and we often don't reflect our appreciation enough to those around us. No matter what the outcome I hope we will continue down this path to instill compassion and hope into the rest of the country. I know that was the intention of this countries founding fathers. Just think where we would be, if they too gave into King George.

May Peace and Prosperity be with you.

Thanks, Jon. Your post is what this is all about. Believe me, I never thought I would be sharing the same space with religious people either. It has been absolutely amazing to be involved in something truly diverse. Ideological diversity is the shit...especially when you discover hidden similarities with people that you would never expect. That is why we are unstoppable.

Yeah, I usually felt very disconnected from my fellow Americans. We all watch TV and sit in front of computers and forget to go to a neighbors house and share a chocolate chip cookie sometimes.

Now I am finding that indeed there is hope in America.

Here Hear! Freedom is a powerful message, and it's a uniting message! We're going to see a re-focused effort to remove Ron Paul from the national conversation. We're going to see an effort to shift the talk to energy independence, and control on inflation. Don't let the double-talk designed by Frank Luntz fool you! Only Ron Paul will give it to you straight. Truth needs no spin.

We all must promise to each other that this message does not float away with disappointment over any small battle. The war is on! A true war that tries to steal away all that this nation has come to stand for.

Is life so dear, and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? I think not. We Must Fight. Do at least one thing every day to introduce someone new to the Ron Paul message.

Last half of article. Diversity is an American tradition.

My long term goal is to build a few local community hangouts... maybe dress up a old firestation or gas station.... a place were folks can gather and talk to each other. It's sad that in most smaller towns the only place you finds teens hang'n out on a Friday night is at Walmart.

Ron Paul... never heard of him until about late November... now I have a hard time getting anything done here at the shop because i spend so much time reading about his travels, and working with my meetup group...!

Go Revolution...

well said. the people in this revolution need to remember it goes beyond RP. We need to remember that these ideas started well before him and he was only the conduit to bring the ideas to this audience.

The ideas were always there, they were just waiting for US to be ready for THEM! People come and go, unfortunately the same goes for Ron Paul. Its the ideas we must keep alive. I just totaled up my Amazon "wish list" and it is now over $600, and it is $600 worth of Hayek, Rothbard, Mises, theories of government (from Plato to the Neo-Con), the Fed, the gold standard, history of this countries wars, fascism, Rand, individualism, etc, etc, etc.

read, read, read, and read some more.

keep the ideas alive, read, crave education. the movement means nothing if no one understands it.
