Anyone here have some good answers for these questions?

As long as there seems to be some overlap between Ron Paul supporters and Linux users, has Rep. Paul said anything about the "Linux issues?" Would he...

1. Sign the DMCRA, if passed, to allow circumvention of DRM systems for non-infringing purposes?

2. Roll back patentability creep? Congress never voted to expand the patent system to cover algorithms and business methods. Software patents are a creation of ambitious bureaucrats and activist judges.

3. Stop using the power of the US Trade Representative to pressure other countries to adopt corporate welfare measures such as DMCA-like laws and patentability creep?

.

They have gotten some good responses already.
I am a Linux advocate, and was long before I heard of Dr.Paul.
Ron Paul admits that he doesn't really understand computers or the internet. So he is most probably unaware of some of these issues.
He is opposed to corporate welfare and protections.
He is opposed to government interference or taxing of the internet.
He is for free and open trade, and a level playing field.

I believe that he would like the Open Source community, he shares our love for Freedom.

I don't really know about #1 and #2. I would hope so. But for #3 i am 99.99999% that RP would not endorse such "pressure".
