Republican senators introduce bill containing harsher sanctions against Russia

Republican members of the United States Senate took further steps on Wednesday towards increasing sanctions against Russia amidst an escalating international crisis surrounding neighboring Ukraine.

“I think what is happening now shows us who really was mastering the process from the beginning,” Pres. Putin said in response this week. “But in the beginning, the United States preferred to remain in the shadow.”

in the meantime Russia says, "hey americans, thanks for paying the Ukranians gas bill for them."

I don't know. You just have to question whether these people have any firm grasp on the repercussion here. There's big stuff happening from within the infrastructure of finance clearing (for one) and some of these countries (especially the BRICSA nations) are going to make some people over here look amateur in the long term. Seems like these reps are acting in a manner that is more aligned with the TPP and perhaps the interest of some economic hitmen that run some of these entities.
