The Washington Post recently reports that I was paid to be a surrogate speaker for my father, Ron Paul. This is an outright lie.

I was never paid to speak for my father. In fact, the vast majority of the time, I was not even reiumbursed for expenses. I travelled to St. Louis, Paducah, Elizabethtown, South Carolina, Nashville, Louisville, Washington, DC, and New Hampshire (four times) at my expense. I paid to transport my entire family to New Hampshire to go door-to-door for my father.

I never received any salary from the campaign. The campaign paid my air fare (coach) to Montana for two speeches.

They say we should take solace in the fact that Ron Paul is still important enough to attack but I'm still too mad to be mollified.

Good for Rand! Stand up to these asshats! Too bad his response is in the comment section and not (yet, as far as I know) in an editorial. He or his dad should get prime rebuttal space on page 1.

WaPo disgusts me. But I'm hardly surprised at this.

For all the people who didn't think the media cost us this campaign......

I wish Rand would take the next step and sue these jerks. I'm tired of how the media has gotten away scot free with deceiving the public.

You should get your diddy to pay your expenses as he seems to have several million dollars sitting in account somewhere doing nothing.

it's actually libel not slander media outlets don't get sued for slander

On top of that, if there was validity to Rand's claim, all he would have to do is take it to court for some serious damages. As far as I know, they aren't going to...
