Questionable Ad Problems

I didn't want to use the word "stormfront" on the thread title - but this is going to become an issue. We need to work to get those ads off of stormfront - it's not a freedom of speech squelching thing, it's a win the damn primary and don't get bad press thing.

Now if only we can do something about this:

+blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2007/10/banning-ron-pau.html+

and this

+www. stormfront.org /forum/showthre..." and before the "stormfront" and it'll work.

Why don't you want it to turn into a hyperlink? It would make it easier for us to click on it and see what you're talking about.

I heard it increases the page ratings on google if you link to something. Don't want to give bad press stories any more google props than they already have.

I don't see why a post by a private individual on a message board is that big of a problem. Anyone with two cells of gray matter between their ears can see that it is plainly that - a message board post. Not an advertisement, and not official in any way, shape, or form that could even possibly be construed as such.

Now, speaking of bandwidth wasting...

Putting the link as text does the same thing, according to some of the charities I support. Compassion International, for example, requests that people make links to their site with *text* rather than graphics, in order to increase the page ranking ;)

I'm more concerned with the ABC story. And whether or not it gets picked up by ABC as a news item with the blurb "Ron Paul runs ad on White Supremacist Site."

Even though it would be inaccurate, most people take the news at face value, and that's bad news for the campaign.

EXACTLY. Good call.
