Digg this: http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Ron_Paul_Censored_on_Digg

These screenshots are proof. Take a look at this story, removed from the upcoming stories about 20 minutes after it was submitted.

A search for the story, even in "All Stories," yields nothing. Note, however, two ANTI-Paul stories in this first six results!

For comparison, here's the current digg front page. 1500 diggs isn't enough? Yeah, right.

This is what I said to someone who emailed several LRC authors about this:

Thanks for pointing this out, but I'm afraid this could be the result
of the actions of Digg users, and not the Digg software itself. There
are thousands of pro-Paul Digg users, but there are also thousands of
people who are 1) Anti-Paul or 2) Tired of hearing of Ron Paul on
Digg. People in both groups tend to "bury" Ron Paul stories, and it
doesn't take many bury's (or negative Diggs, if you prefer to think of
it like that) to prevent a story from hitting the front page.

Of course, it very well could be a result of Digg, Inc.

Actually, now that I think of it, someone I've done work for in the
past is friends with Kevin Rose (Digg founder) - I'll see if I can't
get in touch with him and see what he thinks for you, if that's of
interest to you.

I have been involved on Digg for a long time and I can guarantee that Ron Paul stories being labeled as 'Inaccurate' is not the work of Digg. By the same means that we can get things to the homepage, other people can remove items from the homepage or mark them as inaccurate.

No conspiracy here, its just the way the site works.

I don't think so. If you search for Ron Paul using Digg's search engine it refuses to return certain censored stories - even if you select "include buried stories."

Also, several corroborating reports have been trickling about Digg users getting banned for posting Ron Paul stories.

There's something fishy going on here.
