I can help you with graphic elements (raster/vector) like logos and so on, but I'm not an expert with web development. 
here are my ideas for these sites but they are not set in stone.
reform2008.com - promotes candidates that pledge to make substantive reforms and fix the system. unites the american people to put pressure on candidates to get stuff done.
mypledgetovoters.com - site that lists all candidates (for any election not just this government) and gives them a place to let voters know what they pledge to do.
provides a record of pledges that can be used to hold politicians to their promises.
votereducationalliance.com - this is the website for a non-profit non-partisan orgnization that educates voters on the process of politics and the issues that effect them. i envisioned setting something up that has chapters in every county of the US and goes into schools, holds meetings and has online tools. the problems we have today are a direct result of the lack of knowledge of how the system really works and lack of participation among voters. the more people know the faster things will change at the federal, state and local level
ballotstorm.com - the concept behind this goes hand in hand with the voter ed idea. this would be a site/service that lets voters sign up and then recieve information on issues that effect them at the federal, state and local levels. as laws and bills are created by elected officials, they would be able to "let their voice be heard" in mass via the ballotstorm system. same for elections with people indicating what's important to them and how they'd vote.
those are my ideas.... not set in stone... but a starting point.
