Hey everyone, don't forget about BJ, he was awesome as the emcee at the Ron Paul Nation Celebration and he still needs our help.

Please consider sending $25 or what ever you can afford to help his campaign,

Link to a poll by Democracy Corps, a James Carville organization. This poll was taken from August 20th through August 26th. Lawson is lagging, what is interesting is that the locals say Myrick is in trouble with 58% to 31% numbers. With the right candidate and the right exposure 20 poiints can be swung in short order. "We can't afford the Price."

I am holding two fundraisers for BJ in Charlotte NC at the end of this month, if you are interested in attending, please let me know via pm, thanks (Sept 27th and 28th)

Yeah, those polling numbers look WAY off. There's no way Hayes has that much of a lead. The Republican base in his district has been heavily eroded by new people moving into the area in the last couple of years. That, and he voted for NAFTA, CAFTA, etc and the people here watched Cannon Mills get torn down because of it.

Support BJ. He does have a shot at it, but if you don't support him then .. he doesn't.

Hey Guys,

Some us are organizing a mini-fundraising drive for BJ - small dollar amounts, but doable.

PM me for more information.

Also, regarding the polling numbers...I have it from a reliable source that big players in Washington may come over to BJ's side. Also, from what I hear, the Lawson campaign may be polling well ahead of what some numbers suggest.

Best,

James

those numbers appear to be wrong by the way

and just look at the comments in that post

Thanks Amy, you noticed that it's a James Carvel owned polling service. I question it also, BJ's internal polls have him iin much better shape. It is true that Myrick is considered "in trouble" and the GOP in NC is in trouble as well--mainly funds.

BJ's one of the good guys, we don't have that many to support, so let's do it!

Thanks all

What do BJ's polls have him at? 40%?

I really hope he wins. He's the only person I've donated to besides RP himself.

I've talked with Linda and she's going to get back to me on the poll, I sent her the link to the one I posted above, as she hadn't seen it.

She agrees that 25% is not where there internal polls are at, but didn't have the information at her fingertips. I'll keep you posted.

Bump for importance, I have it on good authority that donations were up this morning, could it be, is it possible, that the good people of RPFORUMS have got their mojo back????

According to his site, there is a candidate's forum tonight. Hopefully it will be recorded

Here's BJ's response, edited for length, about the poll:

Quote:

Go to page 11.

Some reasons why I really think this poll is b.s.:

1) They got 86 responses in the 4th. That's pathetically low and discredits the whole poll.

2) 17 Republicans responded. That's 1/5 of the total respondents being Republican. 51% of the respondents are Democrats. While Democrats are going to represent a huge portion of the vote, they're not going to be more than half of the voters in our district. Furthermore, I think we can safely say that more than 20% in our election are going to be Republicans.

3) They didn't use names. They used generic labels; i.e., "Will you be voting Democrat or Republican for Congress this year?" This means nothing. Furthermore, the polling results mirror perfectly the Senate race: 70% voting for Hagan, 26% for Dole, 4 Undecided.

Given the sample size for the entire state, I think this was really intended as a poll for statewide races with little regard to Congressional races. They wanted to get a sense of what voters statewide were thinking for President, Governor, Senate, and the totality of Congress.

We're working on internal polling but don't have anything to share yet. This particular poll, however, isn't that concerning.

So there you are, I knew intuitively that the poll wasn't set up correctly, BJ honed in on the reasons. Hopefully we can get a more equable poll soon.

Ya'll Rock

Getting guys like Lawson in the House are little victories that we need to start with. Getting Ron Paul in the White House was a long shot, but worth fighting for. By dethroning King Price and instating a voice for freedom in the House, we can work our way from the bottom up. I know that seems like a losing battle, but it's something we all need to support.

It's not a scientific poll for one thing. The sample size was well under 100. Additionally, they didn't poll newly registered voters.

Thats what people said about Ron Paul when he was running for president. People thought the polls were all way off and inaccurate but they seemed to have been right.
