I just wrote the Samuel Adams Brewery this letter:

Dear Samuel Adams,

Hello I would like to propose an ad campaign involving Ron Paul. I believe in light of the media asking the question what politician would you like to sit down and have a beer with, Ron Paul would be the embodiment of your brands essence and core appeal more than any other politician since the days of the American revoulution.

As you already know Sam Adams had a hand in the Boston Tea Party the spitit of that act could be commemorated while Ron Paul and his supporters are feverishly trying to gain support on that day for all our Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Hapieness. I hope the spirit of your founder and the founding fathers is still alive and active in your company. If this idea is of any interest to you please write back to me or contact the Ron Paul campaign and express your interest in the ad

"WHO WOULD SAM ADAMS HAVE A BEER WITH".

Thanks,
A Ron Paul supporter

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not

your consul, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget ye were our countrymen."

-Samuel Adams-

Let's all Petition large corporations who use the ideals of Liberty to represent Ron Paul.

This would be considered corporate sponsership and would violate a couple laws unfortunately. However there is no reason that lets say the CEO or owner wouldn't endorse him.

Sam Adams is more than a corporate LOGO

Sam Adams is a patriot and if the CEO could make a personal donation or make a Non-Profit political arm of his company it could be possible.

Ideas can be used in more than one way

Even if the company can't do this the idea is still applicable if supporters use the concept of "WHO WOULD SAM ADAMS HAVE A BEER WITH" in promotional camaigns.

By the way, the company could use a boost after their horriffic 3rd quarter earnings (SAM) http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/071106/earns_boston_beer.html?.v=1 and a subsequent loss of 36% in their stock price in the matter of a few days.

Bad idea. First off, Ron Paul has said in a previous interview that those who drink "have a disease", and I doubt Ron would want to be supported by those who produce said disease, and although the brewery has the name "Samuel Adams", it's still a corporation, which will not hold up well with Ron.

He was talking about alcoholism, not anyone who drinks.

Everything in moderation

I am not even a drinker I am only trying to appeal to the "joe six-pack" voter we need to reach the mainstream as much as possible. Ron Paul says we are free to make our own choices he won't decide for us what we can and can not do.

Um, no he didn't.
