Parking in DC question

I got my hotel at priceline and I was not thinking about how in cities that hotel parking is not free - I'm not really a city person so these things just slip my mind.
Turns out the parking is $32 a night here! Is a bit much imo.

Does anyone know of anywhere else to park near my hotel overnight that would be cheaper or will I just have to pay it?

I am staying here

You might find street parking. Also found this very close to your hotel:

Central Parking Systems
1990 M St NW
Washington, DC 20036

I didn't watch ladyjade's video, but instead of parking in DC, I would often park at a subway stop where they have free parking and take the train into the city. It depends on your level of comfort in leaving your car there for a couple days--and make sure they won't tow it!

Our subway parking lot is still $4.75 a day. (I think) which is a lot better.

In all seriousness there are pay parking garages all around the city where you can expect to pay somewheres around $10-18 a day. Just decide when you get here and get the lay of the land.

DO NOT expect to park for free. If a parking space looks too good to be free, it probably will get you towed/booted. You must also CAREFULLY examine parking signage for any street parking. It is very tricky.
