Thanks for taking the time to read this thread...
I beleive i have a very important foundation of ideas to GOTV for Ron in future states.
It's clear that the revolution is far more powerful when we have a single organized effort as opposed to multiple efforts that weaken the overall goal.
This is evident with the November 5th and December 16th donation efforts.
My proposal is to start an organized effort to Get out the vote.
Imagine if every Ron Paul supporter brought just 1 extra person with them to vote? Our vote count would be double. Now, imagine if they got 5 people to go along with them, or even more?
We would win the election hands down. It sounds so simple, almost too simple. The funny thing is, it really is simple, we just need to organize better.
So how do we organize such an effort? That is the million dollar question, and here is the foundation of ideas in which i propose and i hope you, the grassroots will expand upon.
We need means to get people to the booths, not just a few people, but ALOT of people!
We can maybe start a chipin, that will either
A. Rent vans, or cars for Ron Paul supporters to drive them and their friends to the polls.
B. Rent a bus, to achieve the same goal as A.
When the people running the chipin give money to someone to rent a vehicle, they must sign to pledge that they will spend the entire day promoting paul and driving people to voting booths to vote for him.
We dont even really need to rent the vehicles, i just think it will help organize the effort. People with their own cars should do this as well.
Go downtown, talk to people in the streets, ask them if they are voting... find people who arent, tell them about dr. paul, tell them that you are willing to drive them to the nearest booth to vote.
Or maybe even do it in an organized fashion... get hundreds of paul supporters on the streets together, and each time someone asks about him, explain that we need their vote, and have cars on standby to drive them to the polls.
Anyways,... my main idea to get out the vote, is to have vehicles readily available, to get people to the polls as soon as we convert them!
