You guys have contributed $952 to purchase a fourth and final ad in a Far east San Francisco bay area newspaper. I can't thank you enough.

We all know that California is one of the most important states for Ron Paul, so I couldn't be more pleased that we were able to pull off four successive ads in our area newspaper!

Below are three ads up for consideration to run as the final before the primary. All ads have the same header; I cropped headers off the last two in order to make them easier to read.

Ad A is 10 inches high, ads B and C are 11 inches high. We have paid for ad A, and we only need $30 more for either ad B or C. If you prefer the 11 inch ads, please consider chipping in a few dollars.

Also, Jefferson County, IA included invitations to the community to discuss Ron Paul over lunch in their ads. We are considering doing the same thing, as evidenced by ad B. Is this a good idea?

So, in the spirit of Ron Paul and free markets, you decide which ad we should run, A, B, or C!

Note that contributions will count toward your $2300 limit.

Actually, the ad doesn't run tomorrow; the publication ad deadline is tomorrow.

Has anyone in a MeetUp hosted a community "Meet and Greet" to discuss RP? If so, was the outcome successful?

Totally A, the one with the image of Dr. Paul. Most people don't like to read all that much, and that graphic at the top gets the message through in an eye blink. For the interested reader you have lots of info. If the info doesn't contain web addresses to some top RPR sites you will have lost a point of impact.

Very nice work, nice initiative. Hats off to you!

Glad you like the ads. They are a true collaboration among Ron Paul supporters from all over the country. It has been fun!

All three ads will have the same image at the top. The real difference in the ads is in the call-to-action box near the bottom left hand corners.

They all have similar content though.

I like option # 3 in that case.. nice and big at the bottom call to action section, but not overly text filled

Yes the 11 inch versions aren't as crowded. They breathe much better!

Do you think a restaurant invite is a good idea?

Chipin not working again

Hmmm.... this time it may be my fault for loading all three images at once :(

Body copy for better read:

The Citizen's Statesman
Ron Paul, a 10-term US Congressman, is the unsurpassed leader in the fight for a limited, Constitutional government, low taxes, civil liberties and a return to sound monetary and responsible foreign policies. He is acclaimed among both his colleagues and his constituents for his honesty, transparency and consistent voting record. As one fellow Congressman expressed, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are." When was the last time we could make such a statement about a politician?

He Spoke the Truth When Other Leaders Were Silent
In 2007, news broke about a Presidential candidate who years ago predicted the housing bust, the devaluing of the dollar, soaring inflation and impending recession. We learned of a candidate who tried to control unconstitutional spending, who fought for our civil liberties, tried to prevent the war in Iraq, who voted against the PATRIOT Act, and who wanted to secure our ports and borders. He made us aware that all of these problems could have been avoided by following the Constitution. Ron Paul is the only candidate who spoke the truth when other leaders remained silent. America is now listening.

Americans Reclaiming Our Country
Citizens across the nation are rallying behind the "Statesman of the People" despite the mainstream media's fear of Dr. Paul's message reaching main street. He has the largest national grassroots support organization of any candidate. His message resonates across parties evidenced by "Ron Paul Republicans", "Ron Paul Democrats" and "Ron Paul Independents" proudly carrying his banner. He has broken fund raising totals without one corporate or special interest dime and has received more contributions from American military personnel than any other candidate. Ron Paul has support of the citizens across party, racial, socioeconomic and religious lines because his policies are American policies, and We the People are reclaiming our country.

Call-to-Action:

If you are concerned about the state of the union and the future of your family, we invite you to learn more about the only "By the People, For the People" candidate:

Can someone explain why contributions count towards the $2300/person limit?

Well, "why" can be a bit of a philosophical question. The answer you may be looking for is probably "because of McCain Feingold." Or perhaps it's, because "they're a$$holes."

The newspaper originally claimed this counted toward the $2300, and a woman I talked to at the FEC confirmed it. I'm looking at the relevant form now, though, and I don't see a reference to the $2300. I absolutely have to report the names of all of the sponsors, regardless, as evidenced on the form.

The relevant form is the fec form 5.

Christ... they really don't want individuals to get involved in this process.
These laws, I bet, are in place to prevent those like Rupert Murdock (News
Corp., Fox News, Sky, Wall St. Journal, etc.) from putting out ads and
influencing public opinion. I can see how this has helped ...
