Where do they find these jackasses?

yeah

Where do they find these jackasses?

I was wondering the same thing. I had a conversation with a girl last night about stuff like this and her response was that "well if it means they stop a terrorist with a bomb than I guess we need it". I swear sometimes I wonder why we even bother at all.

C'mon Kludge, think:

Do you really think the state run media is going to quote and print a bunch of people that say right out that it's bullshit?

If they have to go through 100 people, they will, and quote the two or three unthinking pinheads who are "all for it, anything to keep me safe".

And of course, Obvious Guy says: "How is tracking everybody's vehicle going to stop a car bomb? A suicide car bomb is a one way trip, and cops would have no idea what was going on until it went off".

Unless they are planning on strip searching every vehicle and every person entering the island, which is probably not far off.

With all due respect to Cowlesy, that whole miserable urban death maze could sink into the Atlantic and it wouldn't bother me a bit.:p

That is why separation is the only answer.

Our great grandchildren will be in their graves, and this argument will still be going on.

Separate, let us, the small remnant, claim our own homeland, base it on founding constitutional principles, and let all the rest of the bootlicks dodder off on the road to hell they are on.

Not only will the idiots not make an attempt to save themselves, when the time comes, they'll pull all of us down with them.

It's a disheartening day - I begin to reluctantly agree with AF and adopt misanthropy like so many other libertarians :(

I hear Ron Paul likes Fiji water, I imagine we could take that place fairly easily :o

Does anyone remember a story about teh UK using cameras to take and analyze a picture of every license plate at every intersection, then run a program to see how fast you made it between intersections to see whether or not you were speeding between them?

I kind of have to go back to what RP said about the whole thing, that we should stop pissing in their cheerios and listen to why they are so upset at us for a change. Personally, yeah there are gonna be whack jobs that want to blow us up for stupid things that we cant do anything about, but there are also legit reasons, you blew up my house and killed my parents during the Gulf war and we arent even in the military, we are just your normal every day people. Maybe we should listen to our would be enemies before we start expecting them to bomb us again.

Its like a bully in school walks up to you, he has his dukes up, so you know he is expecting a fight, then shoves you, or pushes you, throws you in a locker, gives you a swirlie, or whatever. But they come at you ready for you to retaliate, what do you think is gonna happen, he came at me with his gun drawn to ask if me if he could be my friend?

This privacy thing wont stop here, the only constant is change, and the types of invasions of our privacies will change as technology changes. We have to make sure that our foundations for our privacies and our rights are solid and protected, then and only then we will not need to worry about the specific technologies or how our privacies will be invaded.

Slowly but surely, the goal of 24/7/365 surveillance of every american comes closer.

What's to stop other US cities from following the example of New York and eventually turning this into a standard for any sizeable population center?
