new Iowa Poll RP at 5%

Surprising to see that he's actually polling better with women than men there, as the inverse has been shown to be the case elswhere.

The most interesting part of that poll is that he gets more support from women than men. 6% of women, 4% of men.

edit: should have refreshed first.

The sample size was too small. There's no way more women support Ron than men (at least right now), all the data points to the opposite being true right now. However, I don't believe that should be the case among conservative women. They should want an end to the bloodshed and endless warfare state.

I agree. If you look at n=400, Paul received 20 votes... 8 men and 12 women.

This is actually an encouraging poll because it shows RP is on an upward trend before the impact of our new advertising and voter outreach kicks in while Thompson and McCain are faltering. If we set our sights on third place or higher I think we can make it. Remember, its a caucus, not a primary. Commitment is the key.

Remember back in the day (a week or two ago) when FOX claimed they were only going to invite candidates to the debate who topped 5% in Iowa and we were all worried and panicking? Lol...

I would say thats pretty good. I grew up in Linn County where this poll took place. I live just 30 minutes away and up there every once in a while. I think his name recognition is still very low there, so these numbers are encouraging. His visit tomorrow should help.
