Its a terrible show, and I am embarrassed I watched it, but this past Wednesday's Knight Rider on NBC portrayed Constitutionalists as major right wing terrorists in the United States stealing gold from the Federal Reserve.

This is how it begins, by showing people who believe in the Constitution, freedom, and liberty as extremists and criminals.

The show is heavily subsidized and advertised by Ford. We need to get Knight Rider canceled and threaten to boycott Ford for putting such harmful crap on the air.

Not at all surprised. Turn off the re-education-and-indoctrination box. Problem solved.

Easy for us to do so, but the masses will say, oh its like those crazy Ron Paul guys talking about the Constitution. They must be terrorists too. Its a good thing those black vans picked up those kooks.

WTF??? You mean to tell me there's a new Knight Rider? LOL...I'm so 'culturally illerate', but I take that tag with pride.

K.I.T.T. supports the Constitution.

Freedom of Speech

Of course, but that doesn't mean we have to like what is said, and we're certainly within our own rights to discuss how dangerous such propaganda is. In addition, boycotting sponsors is a perfectly viable action (although I believe boycotts are ineffective anyway...especially by a group as small as us).

Actually the issue portrayed bank robbers as taking advantage of constitutional separatists in order to push forward their own agenda that they kept secret from them. It just portrayed people that were already whack-jobs as whack-jobs, using whomever they could to get their own crime done. If anything, this was taking a shot at McCain and Obama :)

i saw the scene where the new "kitt" launches missles into the constitutionalist/terrorists humvees (it was during the commercial break of the world series). i quickly changed the channel and didn't think about anything that was going on, until i saw this post. now that i know the premise of the episode, i can't help but laugh. we cancelled our cable a while back (thank goodness).

Somehow I'm not sure if the portrayal of Constitutionalists as whack-jobs is very helpful either. ;)

yes, turn the TeeVee off. and don't worry about Ford; our boycott would be like jumping off the titanic as its sinking.

Besides, who would we even be kidding...I don't think many of us are planning on buying new cars at a time like this anyway. ;)

Ford is going bankrupt.

And good riddance at that.

DITTO! Owned only ONE, 1970-1972, a total brand new yellow LEMON Maverick and they never fixed it right. It was my 1st and Last Ford ever.

As for TV demonizing certain groups, they are FAMOUS for doing that for years already. Not that that makes it OK. I've seen various "drama" shows do it to the mentally handicapped, sex abuse survivors, Christian groups, and "believers in conspiracy." Even an old "Diagnosis Murder" show did a propaganda job a few years ago on that subject.

I wouldn't take it too seriously, the show is downright silly.

The tech behind the new KIT is more advanced than the borg lol

We'll see how many are smart enough to consider it a warning.
